Global warming a bad symble for human being and life!

the world is a great place but the temperature of the earth fluctuates all by its own look at the ice age we have had even before we were polluting the world. I am a great believer in doing what I can and re-cycling but untill the goverments of the world sit up and take heed (at the moment they are giving lip service) then nothing will change. I myself recycle and grow my own food etc etc. One thingh that I dont believe is that life will stop with the warming of the earth, as its a natural cycle, we are speeding it up and allowing harmful uv rays through the ozone especially over new zealand. But the earth will continue to evolve and no matter what we do the earth and evolution will one day decide that humans are no longer needed and some other form of life will take over. Just look at the dinosaurs an event that the dinosaurs had no control over happened and the humankind then evolved to take over the world so to speak, same can happen to us and it will happen one day.

Hello friend, What you have written about is really a great issue threatening the whole human species. Though scientists are trying to do their best to bring down the effect we also can do our bit to serve the purpose. Global warming they say is due to the emission of increased carbon oxide which we can try to reduce by increasing green plantations.We can educate our young ones about the importance of trees and we can stop the felling of trees as they do in Rajasthan. Let me see. You live in India, which has a semi-tropical and tropical climate and therefore you would like it to be cooler. But for us in the moderate and temperate zone, we do not have that much of a growing season so at the most it takes three months to grow our crops and sometimes less if you live on the Canadian Prairies. Right now in the United States (and cold states like Alaska are considered part of the States as well as North Dakota, and Montana where it used to be that they had blizzards that wiped out whole herds of cattle during the global cooling period that had ended more then a century ago.( God has a good plan. Some years, some centuries, HE gets the sun to stop shooting sun spots and the earth cools down. The people in the north have a hard time growing things, but those around the equator enjoy the growth of vegetables, fruits, wheat, rye, corn, etc. Then after a few centuries, God increases the sun spot activity, then those around the equator swelter in the heat, things do not grow as well because it is too hot, and there are droughts, but those in the northern part of the planet enjoy prosperity, now there is enough time to grow wheat, and some can even have water melons, cantelopes, and other semi-tropical plants. A few centuries later, the cycle starts up again, maybe it is 400 years, maybe 200 years, but no one on the whole planet is in dire straits and you want to change that and make it so you people who live near the equator enjoy bounty for all time while up north the people go through hard times? So you want to fight against global warming. All right, how many people do you want to die because of global cooling and are you for global cooling because you are envious of the food production in the north? The things that are used to fight global warming are stopping our production. It costs more to ship food, because gas and oil prices are going up and because of shorter growing season here, when the local season is over, we have to buy imported food. So when you complain about global warming while you can grow food all year ones, think about those who will suffer when the earth becomes cooler.

Global warming is an absolute hoax. It's being propagated by politicians and all of the elitist media to get people like you and me to change our very way of living (while at the same time not doing themselves what they demand everyone else to do, which is the height of hypocrisy). Frankly, I don't buy it. If these political fat cats can go flying around the world on their gas-guzzling private planes, then darn it, I'm going to go cruising around in my comfortable SUV.

i think that human progress is bound to create global warming. we were bound to cut down trees for our own shelter and other needs. that said, there is no turning back. and i dare say we need more progress or technological innovation to stop the harm that our 'progress' is continually doing.

Global warming is a threat to life on Earth. I think we need to step forward right now to prevent the disaster otherwise it will be too late. We must stop using the article or practices which produce glbal warming gases like carbon dioxide to the most. Increase in global warming is causing melting of glaciers, thus increasing the chances of floods and other natural disasters. Our priority must be control of global warming and pollution.

it is not universely agreed that global warming is even happening,but if you are a scientist and someone pays you to find out and answer-you find that answer or you dont get the pay check.some scientist who do not believe in global warming are afraid to say so because it could hurt their reputation and coat them to say so

I don't think global warming is as huge as a problem as people make it out to be. I don't think that the world will drown in water haha even if the ice caps are melting. Global warming will do damage to our earth, but it's not the end of the world.

We were discussing this awhile ago here at home, and it seems that it was in the news recently about the salmon vanishing in the Northern Oceans. As well as Alaska is reporting heat waves this year unlike anything they have ever seen before. They have reported that some polar bears are having tro swim up to 80 miles to reach the ice shelf this year. Most will die before ever reaching it. Rather then there normal 10 to 20 mile swim. I believe that its time for us humans to realize that yes there is a problem. I know we cant solve the problem, we cant even stop it, but we can at least try to be more aware of what is happening and also try and stop from making it even worse.

Nice point of discussion.Perhaps this is the biggest issue in front of the world leaders.No doubt,we all are partially responsible,knowingly or not.For the regards of our following generation we must take some sincere actions.At least,people with civilized mentality should contribute their part. But if telling fairly,all this sort of issues having long term possible dangers are always on discussions only.Solid actions are on the considerations only and they need some ignition. Well,let us hope some major change......
