Wonderful Surprise Phone CALL.

wonderful surprise......... Nope Antiquelady, I've never heard from one of my favs on here before because I tend to see this site as my little getaway from a few things that's going on over here. If anyone was to call me, then it would kind of interfere with my family life. I'm content with just being able to communicate with mylotters online. Maybe in the future I might change my mind and decide to take it to the next level but for now, just chatting online is fine and I rather enjoy it this way. Happy mylot!

I have met people in person who I knew online many times! Once, one of my friends on msn, who works in a beauty salon took me as her next appointment, not recognizing me because I had no pics posted. I said a certain phrase that I guess is unique to me, and she laughed and said I sound like her friend alex! I got confused, wondering if she knew me, but then i realized that her description and vocation fit those of my online friend, so i took a chance and asked her if she knew an alex on msn! we were so surprised, but it was the really really good kind! we talk on the phone and travel together regularly now!

I have several friends here with whom I am in contact outside the Lot by phone. I have an option on my landline with which I can call abroad to almost every country (there are some restrictions but very few) for the very small flat rate of €10 a month. I have unlimited time and no other expenses at all. I call one Lotter almost every day and we will be meeting up soon too. Then there are a few others who I hear at least once a week and some more less frequently. Being on here almost every day for over two years means I have got to know many friends and they are much more than 'just fonts' to me now. then there is one Lotter who still has not got the phone hooked up

I'm so glad to know that you finally got to hear from one of your mylot friends! That is so great! No, I never have heard from anybody, myself, except on here. That's about it. Are we allowed to give out our phone number or address on here? I know I do have one of my mylot friends' email address. I tried to send her a pm one time and she said she has trouble getting her pms for some reason so she just gave me her email address on here. Kathy.

Well, I haven't really been on this site long enough to make many friends, so I can't say that I have received a call from anyone. Hopefully, as time goes on I will become friends with people and talk to them online.

I am fortunate that I have met one other MyLotter, other than the ones I am related to. I met one that lives near my daughter, Grandpa Bob. We had a nice dinner where his wife works. It was really nice to meet in person. I hope I get to meet a lot of my other mylot friends as well.

yes.....and met a couple too.....Minnie calls when they are in the area...and grandpa bob used to call to just to try to hook up....I haven't heard from him in a while but they are heading this way sometime in Sept.

Awwww that's really sweet of her!! Wow.... I've talked to a couple of my favorite friends on here over the phone and there's a few others that I'd like to get their phone number from (HINT! MAJOR HINT! LOL) It's great to actually put a voice and a face to the names, isn't it? lol Good for you Jo!!

I haven't had much opportunity to get to know people here on MyLot as I can't seem to find time to be here regularly. However, I am in some other groups where we "chat" online frequently and I've been able to talk to several of those people on multiple occasions. It's nice to know I have friends all over the country!

Yep. I am close to you and a few other mylotters although we have not talked on the phone. It is awesome how close we can get to another person and how small the world is. We live thousands of miles from each other and yet we have shared so many experiences that are the same and can help each through through a crisis. I think that basically women, especially women,. need other women as friends. Someone they can trust to rant occasionally or share good news or just need advice on a problem. We can help and support each other no matter where we come from. I am so happy that you actually spoke to a friend. I will speak to you one day too. Many blessings

I have thought about trying to meet some of my friends here on mylot. No one that I know of live with in a few miles of where I am at. I would like to meet some of my friends but not all. I would not mind a phone call either I think that is really sweet. One thing though is you must be careful online whom you give your information to. I thank you for sharing this and happy mylotting to you.

that's good to know that some one has got in touch with you surprisingly. It's you gave her your phone number or some one knew your number and gave it to her instead.at least you were happy to talked to a fellow mylotter. i have two that i know personally, and one that keeps reminding to sleep already. uhmmm. Nah..il go on until i throw up hahahahaha

Phone is the best communication tools, I have a lot of good friends that work together. Later, due to various reasons, to separate, we will rely on the telphone. Fear most is the phone number change, then lost contact. Also lost a good friend. Really, I have since lost a lot of numbers for the news of a friend. With the phone, then a further distance also could hear the sound, just like talking face-to-face as their own. Heart will be able to eliminate some of the missing. Thank telephone. I would like to know the telephone number of a friend give me a call, I miss you.

hi antique lady I missed a phone call twice from my favorite' Pikey and was so touched as he called to find out if I was ill. my power source had gone out on my computer and I hAd to wait 'to get the money to buy a newone. I did email him to tell him I was well and thank him for cAring so much.I had ten personal messages when I got back to mylot just now After having been gone for over nine months due to some reallybad disastersin my life.Iwas really so touched by them All. I am so glad you got to talk to a mylot friend,that must have been so thrilling. wow.

wow. only through private emails. etc. i do have an internet friend i've had for 12 yrs. i' ve always wanted to talk to her. i now have her phone number but always forget to call till its to late. its 3 hrs earlier here than in the mid west. i met her through another social site and have written each other, sent pics, etc.

That's great! I'm glad she lifted your day. I bet it was nice to hear from someone here that you like so much. It is amazing the bond we make with some of the people here.

Hi there. I've not heard from a friend on MyLot, but there are several people I've grown close to on the internet that I've either talked with on the phone or met in person. You're right! It is always such a pleasant surprise, one that lingers :) Karen
