..or do you cut it off? I've noticed that when I make toast I almost always cut off the edges of bread (white bread) because I think it tastes funny. I forgot to cut off the edges today and it made me wonder im unusual and it's only me who dislikes the edges.. Do you guys keep the edges when you have bread? or do you usually cut it off?..

I love it, honestly, I think the crust is the best part. You're definitely not unusual though, many people don't care for the crust of bread.

hmm...i don't mind the crust for other breads..(actually some are really good!).. but how about for plain bread?..i mean the most common white bread that has sorta like a soft crust to it... do you also like that crust too?..

Yup, even plain old sliced white bread! It's the best part...the rest of the bread is just there to hold the crust together! ;)

My oldest has to have the crust cut off. It took me a while to figure out why she would not eat any sandwiches when she was small.

I love the edges of the breads. It is very crispy and very tasty to eat.In fact,I like to eat the edges alone,if possible. Also I like the entire top and bottom slice of the bread more. But my father uses to cut off the edges complaining of having more butter in it which is harmful for his age. So,I take those edges happily.Cheers!

I like the edges of the bread now that many experienced hunger it is so disappointing to throw it away. When the edges are toasted I like to dip it in coffee or chocolate it taste so good. I'm not that picky on bread and I eat any kind of bread as long as it has no mold on it.

It depends! For soft white bread it tastes better without edge. So I am always grateful if catering ladies trim it off before making it into sandwich. But if it is crusty, nutty, crunchy bread, ie. bread with crispy and chewing skin, then the edge has to stay without question, tough I tend to keep myself away from this kind of bread. It makes my jaw sore.

I don't like the edges of bread. When I have toasts, I usually eat the edges first so I can enjoy the middle part last. Putting more jam or butter on the edges than the center improves the taste a little bit but the center still tastes better.

I like the bread edges. I remember when still a child, my mom bought edges of bread and cakes for cheaper prices, and the more heated bread helps digestion.

There are lots of types of loafs where I live. I don´t like the almost "plastic" bread that has no density. If the crust is too tough I cut it off and use it for bread cakes, bread crumbs, fried dices with oregano and parmesan to put over a lentil soup. I don´t throw food. Ever. Unless it´s moldy but I try to see that they don´t reach that stage.

i personally dont like it.. and i like to cut it off if i have time. however, if the edges of the bread has flavour on them i would like it. Some type of bread has some kind of topping of additional flavour on the edges that i like. I actually notice that if you eat the edges, it will keep you fuller for a bit longer.

I love the crust of the bread best. Not only on breads but on sponge cake(without the cream)and fruit cake. To me the crust is the best part - the "crustier" the better.
My daughter usually cuts off the crust so I will eat the discarded crust. I will splash lots of jam and just eat them like that. It's so tasty and delicious.
