I live 12 hours away from the place I was born. The last time that I went there was February of this year. How about you? When was the last time you visited your hometown? What do you like doing when you go there? Do you still see your childhood friends around?

I live a very long way from my home town because I am in Australia and I was born in Italy where I lived and went to school for ten years. I have been back a few times but it is a very expensive exercise, especially for the whole family to go. I don’t miss the place of my birth at all and to be honest Australia feels more like home.
When I do go back to Italy I usually feel like an outsider because the lifestyle is different and it sure does not feel like home! I don’t know if I am ever likely to go back, maybe if I win the Lottery!

I live about an hour away from where I grew up. I visited there about 8 months ago. I like seeing where I grew up and seeing what is new or what has changed or is no longer there mainly. I never see anyone I grew up with either.

I still live in the city where I was born but I'll be moving away soon for college. When I leave, hopefully I'll be able to come back often to visit friends and family

hello there!
the last time i visited my hometown was december last year...its a once in a year vacation coz i am living far from my hometown...needs to take airplane or ship to be there...hehehe and it will be costly if i will always visit it...
well, my vacation there last year is great, my husband and i spends our new year there...with my family! when i am there, i just like to stay at home and spend most of my time with my parents and my brother to make up for lost times while i am away...and that makes me feel real good! spend quality time with my loved ones!
with my childhood friends...hmmm sad that i was not able to see them...coz i just have a week or two to be in my hometown and most of them are also busy and some of my childhood friends are no longer living there...
have a nice day!

i live 5 hours from manila where i was born and i still have relatives who still live at that area. yes i visit that place maybe three times a year, specially if there are such ocasions that we are invited. but unfortunately there are a few familiar faces already there. spme of my childhood friends are no longer living there and some of them are abroad already. so yes i do go tehre because of my relatives but i dont see my friends there already.

Well, it depends on how you choose what your home town is. The town i lived in when i was born, i have never gone back and visited, as my parents moved from there when i was only like two years old. We moved often when i was still living at home, but when i do go back and visit my parents, i have made road trips in the past to some of the towns i lived in. It has been probably five years or so since i have visited any of them though, and i don't really know anyone who still lives there.

I think I was last in my hometown around March of this year. I know I visited one last time before I left Memphis, TN for California, but I don't remember exact dates. I actually did see some people from my childhood, and had a great time hanging out with them. Mostly, I just relax when I go there, enjoy my family's company and my mother's cooking.
