McDonald's fries should be labeled as a drug by the FDA

I think they coat their potatoes in crack before they fry them. There is no way that a single food from a restaurant should be this addictive! When I get a craving for McDonald's fries, no one else's fries will satisfy me, not even my own! I just know they are putting something in them to make you crave them. I keep trying to test them, but when I get the fries I always end up eating them all before I can test it lol.
I do know one thing, whatever's in the fries has got to be in Krispy Kreme doughnuts as well!!!
So, are you addicted to McDonald's Fries? What do you think they put in them to make us fiend for them?

Mcdonald's fries NEVER go bad, it's disturbing. All food should mould at one point, so yes are these really safe to eat?

I'm not so worried about the fries as I am Margarine. That stuff is the devil. I found out here on MyLot about a year ago that there is only two molecules difference between margarine and plastic. This is why in some stores you see margarine just sitting out in the aisle, instead of the refrigerated section with the butter and the milk.
If you set margarine out in the sun, it never rots. Flies aren't even attracted to margarine. If they don't want it, why should I?

i love your post. it made me laugh. you are so right. some of these things tastes so good and are so addictive. i love their fries too. i just think they are too tasty and the right texture. i do not think they add anything addictive but i think they just know how to make good fries. i need to stay away from them as i am trying to lose weight.

Haha I know what you mean, there is something about them that no one else can even come close too. I guess I am not really addicted but I do have to have them everytime we go there.

I have not eaten McDonald's fries for years because I am watching my cholesterol. I understand they coat the fries with something now. Apparently the same suspicions were levied against Tim Horton's in Canada, they seem to think they put something in the coffee to make people come back all the time.
I do not suppose immediately they can put anything in that would make them addictive. I am sure that competition would love to find out what they do and either destroy their reputation or put the same thing into their fries.

Hello Drknlvly,
I like McDonald's fries and how about that apple pie? But I have to give a little credit to Checker's fries and sorry, McDonalds but Checkers apple pie is better... :)
You are right about the fries. They are good and you can't eat just one. :)
Have an awesome weekend my friend and happy mylotting!

Checkers wouldn't have had a fighting chance with their apple pies before McDonald's changed theirs lol. They stopped putting so much filling in them.
Here in my locale, we have Rally's instead of Checkers. When they first came out here in the early 90's, their fries were way better than McDonald's. But then they started franchising it. The quality of the fries went way down. Some places you would get Rally's fries, and they would be soaked in grease. Other places they were way too dry, as if they had been sitting out forever. That soured me on Rally's experience, and I ran back to the fries that I had known since I was a kid!
Even when the fries were good at Rally's, I never craved them the way I craved McDonald's!!!

Gee, I gotta agree with you there! There is definitely something addicting about them!! I'm the same. If I crave fries they HAVE to be McDonald's, they're just so good. I'm not positive, but I'm guessing that it's the type of oil they fry them in, and maybe they put some spices in besides the usual salt. Whatever they do to them, they're perfect! Have to laugh, I don't think I've ever had a Krispy Kreme before, will have to check 'em out!

LOL We all have something! I am not addicted to McDonalds Fries, but I am addicted to White Castles burgers. Unfortunately I live in Canada, so we can only get them in the USA. I was in the States last weekend for a party, so I was able to get to a White Castle. I sure wish they'd open some up here in Canada!!

Our family was just talking about this the other day. McDonald's has the best fries, hands down. They have never changed them. Other restaurants have changed their fries over the years, some trying to copy McDonald's, but have been unsuccessful. McDonald's are the best.
Personally, I only have a couple of someone else's fries because I don't want to eat too many for health reasons.

MCDonalds fries are delicious for a fact....They use to dip the potatoes in beef broth before frying them, but i don't know if they still do that or not,,,if so that could be the reason they are so good...

I too love McDonald's fries. If I have fast food somewhere else, I try to convince my boyfriend to stop by McDonald's just for the fries, because I just think that everyone elses fries suck . I don't know what they put in them, but like you say that it must be in krispy kreme, I think its got to be in Flaming Hot Cheetos with Limon, I am not a hot food fan at all, even a little hot, but for some reason I cannot stop eating them, I ran out this morning and I got irritated, Im going through Cheetos withdrawal

It has got to be something. There are sometimes on a road trip the kids and I will swing through the drive thru and get nothing but fries and a drink and munch on them while we are on the road. I had some about an hour ago actually on my way back from the grocery store.

McDonald's fries are good, but they are kind of unhealthy as they coat them and fry them in lard. I prefer to eat fries that are freshly made, right off the bat and fried in vegetable oil, which makes it healthier.
