what have your kids been doing this summer?

I'm ashamed to say that they have watched a lot of tv and playing video games. But we have also made several trips to the park where there is a shallow spot in the river. And they have spent some time with their friends too. they watch tv while I am mylotting and I make them do chores most days, otherwise, the house and yard would be more of a disaster than they already are!
Do you make your kids review their school work or things their teachers made them bring home? I have made them do it a few times but not sure if it will help them or not. since we don't have much money, we have stayed home for the most part. they go back in two and a half weeks and then I'll have my sigh of relief.

That's pretty much how me and my brother is spending the summer. He takes the occasional walk in the park and sometimes I drag my mother out for a walk too since she's also off for the summer. My brother is starting school in a week but he's still enjoying the last of his summer vacation. We'll start doing work when school starts.
