Hi, people.
I´ve been checking my oldest discussions and have been choosing the best answers...but to tell the truth, i really don´t know the implications of that...do i gain something, do choosen users gain something?...
By the way, how often do you spend some time choosing best answers?
Please, do enlighten me...
Peace

I think it helps people get a higher rating, and just makes their day. Its always nice to let someone know you think that they are doing a good job. However I don't think you actually make any money for this. I once spent a night going through old discussions and marking the best answer only to find the next day that I had earned nothing... not a penny for the effort. So it is a few seconds out of your time to make someone else feel good, but other than that there is no financial reward.
I don't think there is a financial reward for the person who gets this designation either. JUst a warm feeling inside, and the knowledge that someone appreciated their words.

A real shame...But hey, we´ll allways have some tasks to wipe...oh, wait, i think we no longer have as much as we had...lol...we´re getting short on resources, here... :p

Hi, glords!
Higher rating wouldn´t be bad, and as for the "warm feeling inside", it´s allways good to see your words and thoughts recognized, but don´t you think it would be very interesting for us and even for mylot if they gave us that reward...? To both users, the one that chooses, and the one who is choosen?

Yes, probably, Umi... But still, i think it would be good for us and even more for mylot if they also gave a financial-booster for those who give best answers, and for those who receive it... Don´t you agree?

I definitelly know what you mean. There allways be people trying to bend the rules in their favour, but hey, that´s why Mylot has their own defences. Not to mention the implications of getting caught...your count gets terminated for sure. Has i said, it would be a good idea, but they probably don´t have the financial resources to get into such a project...

Hi skills, well I always go through my old discussions and give out a best response as obviously it is nice for someone to receive one. I also appreciate receiving them back, at least it shows someone read their own discussion. The easiest way is to sort through your unresolved list and mark the best response when you think the discussion has run out of steam. There was someone yesterday posting he'd just received one from Mylot as thought that they decided, so now he's got a lot of going back to do to give out his own
because as it made his day to receive one I'm sure he'll now be off to spread his happy news.

Well I don't think it effects earnings as others have said but it certainly can't do any harm to your reputation both to give them and receive them, maybe the ones who don't give them are penalised as it's in the rules to give them
Once you organise and pop through say one unresolved discussion a day if you have a back log, it takes no time at all, unless of course you've got hundreds of responses to go through. That's never happened to me.

Yes, that´s a good way to organise things up. One per day should do it, nonetheless, since i had just a few discussions, i decided to just wipe all of them in one day...

Hi, Thea!
Well, as you said, giving best answers sure involves some time reading all the discussions, responses and comments...it´s not a short timed task, no doubt... But hey, what the heck, it sure is morally compensating for both, the one who chooses, and the one who is recognized...
By the way, do you know something about the implications on the rating, for the choosen user?

Giving a best response doesn't do anything for the ones that give them, but it does affet the ones geting them and that is, it lets them know that their response was the one they were looking for, and it makes the perosn getting it feel like there response meant something. I know, when I get best responses, it makes me feel good to know that I was even being considered, and they thought enough of my response to choolse it. It takes me awhild sometimes to give best response, especiall if I have a lot of responses to go over. I want to pick just the right onw, and if I have to read and reread the responses I will do that. I wish in a way, we could pick more than one, a sometimes it is hard to pick just one especially when there are several good responses. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

Hi, Rose!
I definetelly agree with you, sometimes it´s really hard to pick just one answer... There are several discussions in which you simply can´t mark only one best answer because there are inumerous great answers...! Then what you do? In my case i confess it´s an emotional criteria...i choose the one which touched the most...ATTENTION, i´m not speaking about the demagogical responses, i´m talking about the ones which you feel as sincere and trully insightfull...
Happy myloting to you, rose!

:/
Sorry for the double answer. The first one showed an error message after a while, so i decided to rewrite it.
