My routine is to first go too the bathroom and then come out and make my bed. I can't stand an unmade bed. My daughter likes to say why make it when you are going to just get back in later. That to me makes NO sense. I don't know where she got that thinking from.

You are so funny that is a good one. I will do it just to let you know how I feel. I know I can for an hour but that is it. I have OCD when it comes to the house being clean and everything in its proper place. I will not make my bed for an hour tomorrow morning. Till tomorrow.

To dramagn -I did it in fact it was probably more than an hour and I'm ok. The way I did it was just leave the room. I went back after I did a number of things mainly signing on the computer, feeding my dog, watering my trees, preparing my breakfast. I survived it. LOL LOL LOL

funny, hahaha and practical, yah, what's the use of making the bad when you will have to use it again by night...(lolz) First thing i so when i wake up is,usually i go to the bathroom and after that i do make the bed.I always want my bed to looks neat and everything in place, not just my bed but the room. I want to look my bed as if it always inviting me to have a sleep hehehe...so,i make sure it's always done and pillows neatly piled, and the bed cover flat as it is never been used the night before.

When I was a little girl I kept my room looking like a typical little girls room. I made sure I made my bed, pajamas put away, and closet shut. Well, somewhere between age 8 and 12 something happened to that little girl, and I haven't seen her since. I became a tomboy, so need I say more? Well then when I got my first apartment, I'd only make it if I was having "company" that evening. Because I too like your sister made the statement" why make it, I'm just going to get back in it". But, like I said, if I was having company over that evening I'd make it and put on clean sheets. I was married twice (5 years each) and if I really thought about it, I could probably count on both hands how many times I made the bed in each marriage (probably ten times per marriage). And now years later, I'm dating this great guy who is all about making the bed. And I moved in with him, and some days I catch myself...you guessed it... making the bed. Sure, occassionally I just throw the sheets and blankets over to give an attempted look, but normally I put in the full effort. You know, taking everything off and putting everything back on piece by piece and making sure it's straight and tight. Oh my, what has come over me? I think part of that little girl is back forcing me to make my bed again. LOL. Great topic. I look forward to read and replying to more of your posts.

I usually do just because it makes my room look nicer and cleaner. However, there are days where I just dont care and leave it the way it is.

I have to make my bed, if not it will lay in the middle of my room and someone might step on it. I don't sleep in a normal bed, it's more like a futon. I lay it before bed and roll it to keep it in the closet by morning. If I let it there, it'll be dirty. So I guess it's not a choice.

i dont make my bed in the morning, exactly like what your sister said, i dont see the point of making my bed when im gonna go back to bed again at night and rearrange it so it is comfortable to sleep in. when i dont make my bed, i just jump out of bed in the morning and jump in at night, and nothing else to be done. if it takes 3 mins to make my bed, then i would have saved 6 mins of my life a day, and that would count to 36.5 hours a year spent on making bed!!! i could have spent this doing something else better!!! even though so, i reckon once a week i still make my bed, only because my sister yell at me when i dont make my bed, and also because i am staying in my aunty's house, so i better make my room less messy :)

I amke our bed 80% of the time during mornings. I guess I'm not used to going outside with our bed not properly made and it bothers me a little. There are times when I'm so lazy that I tend to just lay down in bed half of the day.

I also used to say the same thing to my mother. Well she always made me do my bed. Now it has become a habit for me. That is first thing I do after I wake up in the morning.

Yes I do make up my bed immediately after I get up, my husband also does it in case I am busy. But all the time it is well tucked up and neat.
