Which is better? Commeting for the responses or respond to other's discussions?

So I am told we are best of having conversations when posting to a response. I made my highest payout doing this ,it was also nice to chat with the people involved in the topic.

Hi Phillip We face the same problem here. I know (and I'm sure you've already know too) that we get paid for commenting and write response. I have read that we can get more earnings if we do barging in / have conversation in that discussion. That's good advice. The problem is, I often find difficulties in commenting to other response and have conversation.. Sometimes the response only single line or too short and I don't have time to always sit here, looking at my own discussion, waiting for another response or try to have conversation with the one who already log out maybe? or fly away to other discussion. So, I decided after creating a discussion, I will respond to other discussion (25 or 30 each day) and during that period, I check if there's response in my discussion or not. If there's one, I will make comment, then fly again to other discussion, etc. After I reach my target (30) I will open my email and see the notification there. I read the comment on my response then comment back if I can say something. So, make sure to reach certain amount of post, then check email to see new response and comment,, then comment back or everything. Make sure reach certain number of post first before doing any conversation. That's my method and it works for me We can search many topic of discussion but sometimes we don't find the words to comment back, that's why I use this method. hi phillip! i do mylot during breaks and time itself is quite limited. when i started having less and less time with mylot (as compared to before) i begun to spend more time responding to discussions rather than start my own. i make only a few posts but i make sure that it's of relative quality to make it count. it boils down to what you enjoy more, starting new discussions and commenting on responses you receive... or... responding to discussions started by others. but if you are in a dilemma what to choose, experiment on creating a good mix. make a few discussions and comments one day and then do a few responding to others' discussions the next day. after some time, ask yourself which you enjoy doing better and worth your time. you may also see difference in your earnings on some days so it might help you decide which activity to concentrate on, by checking which earns you more. each one of us have different earning experiences in mylot because of different niches we each have. so no one can tell you where you can earn better and be most productive except for what you have experienced yourself based on alternating your activities. if you are still in a dillemma after a few days of alternating activities, just create a good mix. each day, start a few discussions and respond to a few started by others. what could possibly happen is that there would be days you are inspired to start discussions while on other days you have nothing to write about so you respond to someone else's discussion. goodluck and have a great time mylotting!

Hi philip, I prefer to have a good discussion going and comment on all responses and try to make it into discussion. It is much quicker for me to work this way as it is less moving about. You have to make sure though that a topic you start is of interest to you so that you want to comment back on responses and start a conversation. I also respond to topics but feel it is a waste when there is no comment back and the person starting it has no interest in anything more than gathering reponses, by now they should have read enough on here to realise that by doing that they are not earning money anyway. As what have others said, responding and commenting would both earn you money Phillip. I never thought to earn big time here but as much as i could, i try to have really nice conversation with people here and enjoying myself a lot. As what i have noticed, you have been having a nice topic to discuss with long responses too that makes you active here. And for your information, i too haven't reach payout. Kind of impossible for my number of posts, huh? Yeah, you read that right, I was quite active last month but lost interest for quite sometime because i was not able to reach payout. But i think i could make it this month of August. I managed to earn myself $9. So wish me luck and i wish you good luck too.

p;hillip; I make at least one dollar each day by responding to 'discussions and I maKe each response at least six lines long,mylot responds more to quality responses than to many shortone line responses which they will not event pay for it must be at least four or five lines long to earn money. sometimes mine are a lot longer it just depends on the subject of the discussion. and my own experience' in answering the discussion. hope this helps.

For me, I look at the comments that people make, but if all they say is I agree or something like that, I don't write back. If there is something more substantial, I will respond back. I like to respond to other discussions because it gives me something I can "sink my teeth into". I don't know if that will help you or not, but it is what I do. Have a great day!!!

actually both earns you the same amount. it all depends on the quality of your responses to either your own discussions or others' discussions. meaning that you need to comment quality responses to both your discussion & other's discussion. the only difference is that it will be easier for you to respond to your discussion because the topic is controlled by you & you have well knowledge on that topic. while if you are responding to others' discussions, you need to have a lot of ideas for different topics created by them. so for your case (since you have less time to spend in mylot), i think that it is better for you to respond to your own discussion, because it will not use your time as much as if you need to read others' discussions & think of your points to share.

Well in my opinion its best to respond to other people's discussions first and always comment on your posts as well.. But having a good friend base always helps too this helps you to get regular responses. But do try and stay on my lot for as long as you can. Even if you log in 30 min a day that's good enough to earn you a few cents a day. Happy my lotting

I choice commenting for other discussions, because you can earn a lot of money there, because i notice if i answer the comment for the responses, my earning not grow, or even don't increase it's number.

The best way to earn more money and meet more members is to always answer all replies to your post. After all it's the friendliest thing to do. Maybe if you set your self a daily target of answering that days replies and then posting a comment in two news topics you will be earning money but not spending hours. Make sure you replies are longer then one or two sentences and contain an answer as that will generate a reply. Do you post discussions in different topics or stick to similar things?

Dear Philip, We are in the same boat, facing the same waves and tides with limited 'time' at hands.. I also spend most of my time commenting on responses that I received on my topic of discussions. I am so occupied that I have less time to response on friends discussion topic...I must do something about it, looking for ideal strategy here too! Both of us now at 300 + post, I think we need to response friends discussion more to enable us to reach 500 post. At 500 post, we can start using 'copy & paste' feature. I think this feature will help alot! But, I noticed..if we comments and interacts on the responses received, the earnings are higher...not so sure on your side...are you experience the same thing? Do share your views on this!! Time management is very critical here, we need to plan and divide our time equally on both sections..all the best and do keep in touch!

this is the same as the question what is better starting a discussion or responding on discussion. For me, I can do both, for me both are okay, the only difference is its hard to manage response on my started discussion on my part. At present I do respond on others discussion. My purpose is to support my friends discussion. Although it hard to manage my time commenting I am still happy if I see someone respond to my started discussion. It only means someone is concerned and want to help.I appreciate that is why I am happy commenting on response.

Time is almost always a problem for me and I have devised what works best for me and that is to respond when I am short of time and starting discussions when time permits which is generally at the weekend. I don’t know if my method generates more money or not; I do reach payout each month with a little extra. It is difficult to figure out how to earn more here, MyLot’s payout method is still a mystery to me.

I started something similar earlier, and I have got various responses.. some tells me that by starting a discussion, it will be better.. and some will say by commenting... and I have come to a conclusion that, if you have time to search for discussions, and is able to get $$ from there, then that will be good. By starting a discussions, it means you are attracting responses, which you could spend time replying them and earn from it.. At least, if you started a discussion, and you did not log on the MyLot for some time, and someone responded, you still have some $$ rolling in.. however, if you are just commenting, I afraid you may not have any cents earn if you take a break.. As for me, I do more responses and I will start 1 discussion a day if possible.. :) Just my 2 cents worth.. Happy Mylotting
