most of people asking there is window like linux, vista are more secure from hacker, viruses etc.but i used window xp from 4 year i never faced like this problem.
i also used linux in between 4 year. it was good but not better than window xp. because of user friendly. linux is not so user friendly like window xp. other is compatibility. it is also a big issue. most of people used window xp there for compatible software available in market for other os are less. so i also suffer from very much this problem while using linux. thats by i have to again change my os. after that i never used other os. i used only xp.
please give me your suggestion i should change my os. means there is any other available os better than window xp. and that is compatible of windows software.and also your suggestion on window xp.

Hello,
Since my computer came with Windows Vista, I use Vista. But for some reason I still like Windows XP over Vista, maybe because it was a little faster and not so irritating. Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!

i think windows xp is a good os as micorsoft systems but i found linux good too especially because it is free and have a large number of softwares that are freeware too..so you don't spend too much money in licence that in many cases are really expensive!!In fact if you can compare the cost of ms office to the freeware open office i think there is a big difference and functionalities are not so different!!
I think that as regards linux in some cases you need to personalize a bit more than windows and so work on it a little bit more than windows os also because the microsoft os you will find pre-installed on your desktop/laptop on the cnontrary linux distributions you must download and install by yourself...and afterthat you must search for the softwares you want!!In many cases all the softwares you need you have already on your linux os too..but if you search for othes i guess you will find as well!!
As regards microsoft os..i think you should also wait and see the new windows 7 and so let's see if there are something of really new...but i think that linux os is smart now as choice!!
