I just read yesterday that land lines wree disappearing very fast! I lived without a cell phone for 40 years, All I notice is I can be interrupted any time and any place, I wish they were never invented! The drawback with cell phones is 911 calls according to the article I read yesterday! Good move on your part, enjoy the new found privacy! tdemex

I'm thinking about getting rid of my land line phone all together... No more land line phone bill, less of a headache... Only calls I get on it are pretty much all the junk calls... Only reason I have land line phone is because I have 10 year old daughter... But then she has no business being left alone at home anyway...

Cell phones have their pros and cons. I think if you run a business or need to be in constant communication with someone then a cell phone is great. But I find that alot of people can't use their cells indoors which to me is just down right bizarre and not a little silly. For emergencies having a cell is great. Also for traveling. It really depends on your lifestyle.

I don't have a landline anymore, so I do need my cell phone. I got tired of all the telemarketer calls that I got on my landline, so now I don't have that to worry about on my cell phone. Really, you can't take your landline phone with you like you can your cell phone. I don't know what I would do without my cell phone as I would be lost without it. It is the only way I can communicate with my kids. I am definitely going to say with my cell phone. Take care, and happy mylotting.

For me, yes I need a cell phone, it is a good way to keep in touch with family and friends, either through text messages or talking to each other. As for the 911 issue, that has been resolved in new cell phones that transmit your coordinates to the 911 operator. Less and less people are using landlines, according to several sources.
