I can listen to music... While reading and writing, but I don't know that I can sing out loud because I start typing the lyrics instead of what I'm thinking....LOL....

Sometimes when you want to listen to the lyrics, it is more difficult to concnetrate on your work that you are doing.

Oh yes, i too mylot with music in the background, because we are not actually learning anything by heart or studying. We can do this easily. However I could never study when music was playing, because I needed to concentrate and my mind would keep going to the music playing. So either I would fight with my sisters to switch off the music or close all the doors and windows to study. Otherwise I am pretty cool with music in the background.

I need a very quite place to study too, there is no way I can remember what I read when there is music background.

I can definitely understand what I am reading while listening to music, matter of fact I prefer it. Whenever I am reading or writing I like to have music, it is easier for me because in complete silence I hear little things that distract me.

I won't call it important, it is fun to have music to listen to when I am doing stuff and going for a ride but it is not essential to me.

I think it really depends. If the music is background I can read, but if I am focusing on the music too much, I will find I have just been looking at words, and remember nothing of what I read.

Yes I can read and write while listening to music. But I do not know if I will be able to sing while reading and writing or not. I think most of the people can listen to music while reading and writing.
But sometimes when I am solving a puzzle or I am thinking something too deep then I can not listen to music. I will turn off the music in such cases and after I have solved the puzzle then I will again start listening to it. May be it is weird but I can not concentrate fully if music is playing around.

I think the only thing that I do when I cannot listen to the music is when I am studying and reciting some notes. I tis hard for me to have music background while doing that.
