I recieved this a while ago. Tell me what you think about this please! I think it's beautiful. And I wish that some men would realize and appreciate this in women! Please share your thoughts! I know it's long, but it's worth it!
Have a great day!
The One Flaw In Women
By the time the Lord made woman,
He was into his sixth day of working overtime.
An angel appeared and said,
'Why are you spending so much time on this one?'
And the Lord answered, 'Have you seen my spec sheet on her?
She has to be completely washable, but not plastic,
have over 200 movable parts, all replaceable
and able to run on diet coke and leftovers,
have a lap that can hold four children at one time,
have a kiss that can cure anything from a scraped knee to a broken heart
-and she will do everything
with only two hands.'
The angel was astounded at the requirements.
'Only two hands!? No way!
And that's just on the standard model?
That's too much work for one day.
Wait until tomorrow to finish.'
'But I won't, ' the Lord protested.
'I am so close to finishing this creation that is so close to my own heart.
She already heals herself when she is sick
AND can work 18 hour days.'
The angel moved closer and touched the woman.
'But you have made her so soft, Lord.'
'She is soft,' the Lord agreed,
'but I have also made her tough.
You have no idea what she can endure or accomplish.'
'Will she be able to think?', asked the angel.
The
Lord replied,
'Not only will she be able to think,
she will be able to reason and negotiate.'
The angel then noticed something,
and reaching out, touched the woman's cheek.
'Oops, it looks like you have a leak in this model.
I told you that you were trying to put too much into this one.'
'That's not a leak,'
the Lord corrected,
'that's a tear!'
'What's the tear for?' the angel asked.
The Lord said, 'The tear is her way of expressing her joy,
her sorrow, her pain, her disappointment, her love,
her loneliness, her grief and her pride.'
The angel was impressed.
'You are a genius, Lord.
You thought of everything!
Woman is truly amazing.'
And she is!
Women have strengths that amaze men.
They bear hardships and they carry burdens,
but they hold happiness,
love and joy..
They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy
and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up to injustice.
They don't take 'no' for an answer
when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel
and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about
a birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies..
They grieve at the loss of a family member,
yet
they are strong when they think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss
can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.
They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you
to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning.
They bring joy, hope and love.
They have compassion and ideals.
They give moral support to their family and friends.
Women have vital things to say and everything to give
HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE TINY FLAW IN WOMEN,
IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.

I love this.Especially the punch in the last line,"that they forget their worth".This is about the typical, ideal woman. But can we see all these qualities in the present day girls? No,I don't think so.They are competing with men, longing to earn, live on their own legs......I won't say it wrong, but they are losing their special qualities. Will you agree?

I don't really agree with that. I don't think being independant makes a woman less of a woman, less sensitive, less loving, less anything. If anything, it makes her stronger! But, in a man's eyes, is that making her more of a man and less of a woman? Is it because she doesn't have to depend on a man to survive?
I don't think that woman today are the same as a woman 10, 2o, or 30 years ago, but that doesn't mean that she has lost or doesn't have the same qualities as one from those times.
I do agree that girls/woman now-a-days are more apt to voice their opinions, share their veiws and stand up for what they believe in. Less girls and women are wanting the 'typical' lifestyle of getting married, having children and being satisfied with only being a stay at home mom.
I've been both a working mother and a stay at home mom and I still hurt the same way, love the same way, care the same way, cry the same way, grieve the same way, etc. as I did whether I was working or not.
I'm just a woman. I try to be strong for my children, but I will cry when they cry. In my opinion, being a woman and a mother and a wife are the some of the hardest jobs out there. But, I also know that most wouldn't trade it for anything in this world. Women are amazing in their own way, just as a man is. I think both sexes need to appreciate and understand the other better. Do you think or have you observed that sometimes it seems like men are turning into women and the women are turning into men?

I am a very fortunate wife. My husband recognizes most of these things in what I do, but still gets confused when I bawl like a baby if I'm happy. He hasn't quite broken the code to women yet, and I'll be suprised if any man ever will. I don't think we're all that complicated to understand, are we?
My husband like to quote this to me whenever I say "nothing's wrong" to him. It's from the Simpsons no less, lol:
When a woman says nothing is wrong it means something is wrong. When a woman says everything's wrong it means EVERYTHING'S wrong!

You are very fortunate to have a husband that sees all the good in you! I wish more women out there had that. It seems like the 'good' ones get treated bad and the 'bad' ones find the best men....and ruin them! ;-)

this is beautiful...and the last line says what was unsaid in the verse... if one reads it keeping in mind some special women in life then each word of it sounds true. think of a mother, sister, wife or simply a girrl friend... and every word woould seem to be describing them...
