Which U Prefer? A Small Family Or Big Family?

I grew up in a big family. My father's earning was just about right to feed us all and sent us up to secondary school...but never had enough money to sent us to college to get a degree.
No i have my own family, and have one kid. My mom always prefer a big family coz she said its fun when the kids grow up and she said...kids can look after theyre parents when they get old.
I dont like that mentality, i like to look after my kid and not my kid to look after me. But i cant argue to my mother coz she might think im disrespecting her, u know what parents are like in asian countries.
Do u think a big family is good to have? Or do u prefer to have a small family?

I have four kids so I guess a big family!! Would of loved more but the four I have drive me crazy.
I had two younger brothers growing up and I always wanted to have more brothers or sisters. My Mom was the youngest of eight children, I lloved hearing the stories of her childhood and all the things they did together.

I am adopted and the only family that I have ever known is the family I was adopted into and I love them so much, but there is only my mother, my father (who is divorced from my mom and we never see him, only like 3 times per year), my older brother, his wife, and their adopted son. That's it! I dont mind having a small family but I envy those who have cousins who they play with and go to school with, aunts and uncles who buy them birthday presents, and grandparents who squish cheeks! I would give anything for a piece of this :(

sorry to hear about that friend... u are still very lucky to have a family of ur own...many people have no home and have no family. wish u all the best.

When I have a big money I long for a big family, when my money is small I prefer small family. Big or small I want to take care of my family without any hardships or scarcity of basics.

Yes u maybe right. What matters at the end of the day is being there for the family...big or small.
