My dog has been farting since day one. She sits in from of you, stares at you then she farts. She comes up to you, looks at you in the eyes, stretches and farts. She sits at the glass door looking outside and farts on the hardwood floor. I give her regular dog food, top of the line stuff, she farts. I give her an egg for her fur, she farts.

That is very funny.I can't say I have heard a dog fart before.I guess they would they are alive just like us. I would say put in on youtube ore americas funniest home video. People would get a great laugh from your farting dog.Maybe the dog is trying to tell you it wants to go outside to do what it has to do. Good luck with your dog.Happy posting.

What a great ideal, I'm going to do that. Yester day she ate corn on the cob, so I'm just waiting for the action to happen soon. You can see her eating an corn cob in less than 2 minutes on YouTube. httP://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vgHdd7rRzQ

Well, if she is a fast eater, gulping her food down too fast, then that explains it. She is ingesting lots of surplus air, which causes the surplus farts. I mean, all dogs fart, all animals fart.

Have you ever read any of James Herriot's novels about his life as a veteranian in Scotland? There is a chapter that talks about a dog just like your Abby. LOL. He never did find anything that stopped that dog's gas.

Well, I am learning to accept it, as a matter of fact I might train her to do it on command. She thinks it's funny now and she'll prance around, stop, fart, and look at you.

I had one dog who did that all the time. It was *bad*, to say the least lol. The vet thought it might be something in the dog food that upset his tummy. He suggested I try him on a different dog food. I did that, and then I found that any time he had dog food with this one ingredient would give him horrendous gas! So, maybe if you try a different type of dog food, and keep track of the ingredients to see which one makes his tummy produce excess gas. Just a hunch that it might be the same with your dog too. Worth a try maybe.

Well the corn on the cob she ate yesterday in less than 2 minutes might be a start as an ingredient, so far so good, no music today. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vgHdd7rRzQ

Well she is sitting here looking at me and I have the video camera ready...still no feedback from the corn she ate last night...maybe it's gone already.

I wonder if she has any PUG breeding in her. I hear that pugs fart alot, but haven't heard of any other breed doing this to such an extreme. Maybe it has to do with her diet. Does she only eat dog kibbles, or lots of other stuff?

How funny! I've had dogs before, but none of them passed gas that was audible. You just knew it after a few seconds from the smell. lol. One did the classic human trick, break wind then leave the room. lol.
I wonder if she's looking at you because it hurts her. After all, when we are all gassed up sometimes it is painful. Then again, your dog may be just playing because it makes you laugh when she does it.
