Which cd is it? Who is the artist? How long ago was it purchased and what prompted you to buy it? Do you still own it?
I bought my first two cd's on the same date and time.
"Restless Heart" by Peter Cetera and "No More Tears" by Ozzy Osborne. I hadn't heard any of the songs on No More Tears except Mama, Im Coming Home and that is what prompted me to get it, I wanted to hear more. Restless Heart (I think thats the album name or it's Dip Your Wings) had several songs already on the air that were very popular, and I liked each one of them as I was a Chicago fan since I was about 10 years old. I purchased these in 1992 or 1993 and I still own them and they still play :)

I could very well be making a fool of myself for answering this truthfully. The very first cd I ever owned was the soundtrack to Beauty and the Beast. My parents bought me my very first cd player and gave me the cd so that I would have something to listen to. Oddly enough, I don't remember buying any cd's for a while after I got my cd player.
Some time later I remember getting birthday or christmas money and going to the warehouse to buy a cd. I chose the Cake album Prolonging the Magic, which is a little bit of a step up from Disney movie music.

The first CD I ever owned was Alvin and the Chipmunks, friends in low places, I still have it and love it. The second was Wynona's first CD on her own. The last CD I bought was The Zack Brown Band, because I love the song Chicken Fried, but the first time I listened to it I fell in love with the whole thing. It is amazingly good music.

It was 2002 when I first bought a CD from the British band Coldplay. I love their song "Scientist" and it was played heavily on MTV. Unfortunately, I don't have them now. I don't know where I keep it. If I want a certain song, I will just download it anyway.

To be honest I don't really remember which was the first CD I have owned. It was I guess some music CD for sure. I do remember the excitement of owing a CD. I mean in those days CDs do seem like something sophisticated piece of thing but now its pretty common and mundane.

My first cd was A Night At The Opera, by Queen. I was about 10 and got it as a present from my parents for either my birthday or Christmas, I'm not sure. I do still own it and love it.

Hi zoey7879! The first cd I bought was "Don't Rock The Jukebox" by Alan Jackson. This was probably about 1991. I bought my first cd player at the same time and I had to have a cd to play it. I have always liked the song "Don't Roack The Jukebox" and I like Alan Jackson, too. That's what prompted me to buy it. Yes, I still have it somewhere. That cd player finally played out on me not too long ago and I bought a new one a few weeks ago.
I have always been a Chicago fan, too. I grew up listening to rock'n'roll. I still like to listen to it occasionally. I'm more into the oldies, though. Kathy.

This might sound a little corny.
The first CD I ever owned was "Backstreet boys" coz they were huge then.I subsequently bought "Millennium" and "Black and Blue" by them as well.I guess that was when I was in my school.I had seen a few of their videos on TV and was totally .So I had to get their CD.
I do have the CD even now, but I don't listen to that kind of music anymore. It passed with my teen years.LOL
