How much money do you need right now to feel secure, to buy what you need, to pay all bills, and buy a house or a car?
Of course that 1 million can be an answer, but be realistic, and say exactly how much you need in this moment to feel in safe, and don t have any problems about money?

Money will never buy me happiness...but I wouldn't mind to have $200,000....to pay for my house in full....
money will never buy security, in fact the more money you have the less secure you can feel...

Hello,
Of course 1 million is my also number... however, I think people are never enough with money. Once they get this much then they will as for more... you know it never enough. But for me, if I have 1 million dollar I will go back home and then open a business there and never come back to the US.

Lets see, I got $1300 stashed at home, 700 in my savings and about 40% in mixed currencies online and 3 pending jobs.

Oh, Icesmile! What an interesting discussion this will be!
If I had about $20,000, I could get things on track and make ends meet on what I earn. If I had a lot more, I could do a lot more.

To be able to pay all of the bills and buy groceries and ocasionaly go out and have fun I would prefer to have at leasst 3 thousand a month. This last year has not been that kind.
Personaly I could be happy with 4 or 5 grand a month, but it will have to wait till I get to work.

I need $50,000 for me to be able to buy a house and new car for my family. My monthly expense can already be covered by the income I am earning from my regular job right now. If I would just rely on the monthly savings I am making right now, it needs a century before I have enough money to buy for a house and a new car. lol. It is so nice to dream and wish that it will come true. Happy myloting.

All I need is 10,000. That would pay off my pressing debts and fix my car. Then I could start whittling down my student loans, which total about $27,000.
But to make me really happy and stress free I just need/want $10,000. (I'd be happy with $6000 even to get a 'new' used car. That way I wouldn't have worry about it any more and simply work on paying off my debts.)

I would need 27000USD. 25,000 to cover my student loans, and 2000 to survive the next two months if I lose my job. I live pretty basic.

Hi Icesmile, hmm, let me think... Well, the amount of money that I would need really depends on each expense. :-) It seems that I can not place an exact number on the amount of money I would need; only that I would wish to live in a way that was the most comfortable for me. :-) I guess the best way to explain things is that I wish to own just enough to completely enjoy my life in any given moment. :-) For example, if I had a strong desire to visit South Africa or even Rome, I would want the ability to call a travel agent ASAP, book my flight and be on the next planes flying to my given destination. :-) So, basically, just being able to 'get the best' of life with only a little amount of money would make me content. :-)

A years worth of living expenses would make me comfortable, especially in this job market. It took a friend 6 months to find a job, and even then it was a terrible pay cut.
If i had to estimate, i'd say that would be near the ten thousand dollar mark. Maybe more? You know, i should know that, lol.
