Ponyo!

Have you heard about the movie Ponyo?
It just came out to US theaters. It was written and directed by academey award winning Hayoa Miyazaki- who also did My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, and other Ghibli Studios movies. I just saw it yesterday, and I loved it. It's very reminiscent of childhood.
My mom's from Japan, so I grew up with many of the other Ghibli movies, especially Totoro.
And did you know Frankie Jonas (the Jonas Brother's younger bro) and Noah Cyrus (Miley's little sis) did the leading English voice-overs? I thought they did pretty well.

I saw it at the pictures the other night. I enjoyed it, it was good. Maybe not quite as good as some of Miyazaki's other films (like My Neighbour Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service or Princess Mononoke) but still well worth seeing. In my opinion, Hiyao Miyazaki is probably the world's greatest living film maker. Even on a bad day, Miyazaki knocks spots of most other film directors.

I am really looking forward to seeing Ponyo. When I first saw the trailer for it, the first thing that popped into my head was how much it reminded me of Spirited Away, which is one of my all time favorite animnated films.

Yup, the trailer is all over TV now.
The movie looks really cute, I'm going to have to watch this one with my friends, as well as 500 Days of Summer.

Is ponyo that new animated movie from pixar it looks good hope to see it soon.
