Is Chrome a scam? (:

Don't take me wrong, Chrome is great. The download manager gives Firefox a run for its money and the minimalistic design gives me a lot of space to work in, but seriously, once you get down to security, Chrome just gets blown out of the park. For one thing, Spybot's immunize features are blocked by Chrome, and some heavy security risks have now filled my computer with a few cases of nasty Adware :(
Could it be that Chrome is Google's way of fueling its Adsense program? What of the new Google chrome operating system? :(

Catchy title,) I cannot comment on your conspiracy angle but I just realized something about browser securities in your discussion. I'm new with Chrome and just occasionally use it, I can only agree with you that it is simple and fast. But base on your account, Chrome ignore Spybot's immunize feature and the sudden influx of security risks/adwares may mean Chrome prioritized speed over security. Maybe it will rely on 3rd party anti-malware tools or their forthcoming OS would secure a connection before Chrome access it.
I'm a Firefox user and recently I've tried its latest beta release and I was amazed(shock actually) with its speed, comparable with Chrome if I may say. Since it is in beta I cannot install my favorite addon in it but one - Noscript which is one of my security tools. I have notice a considerable reduction in speed when I have installed that single addon.
With your experience and mine, I have reasons to believe that employing browser security greatly affect performance. What do you think?

Hey there, thanks for commenting (:
Yeah, I was a little concerned over Chrome's claim of market share when I realised that the immunise feature wasn't supported on it. However, I'm still using the stable release of Firefox rather than the Beta version as I like to keep the WOT plugin for security :3

Well I just wanted to see what's in store for us on the next update but having it without my addons is quite a handicap. I am actually looking for these features in Chrome. Come their OS they should provide us a way of running window applications for smooth transition else they would have a hard time denting the giant MS. Have a great day Boisson.

Spybot not added Chrome as a browser cause it is new and it uses different features.
we should wait for a new version of spybot or updates
