Who do you admire?

Picture in your mind the person you admire the most. What is it about this person that makes you think so highly? Is it one personality trait that makes them admirable or a combination of traits? Tell us what traits you find commendable and why...

The first thing i admire about the person is his/her ability to handle a situation. Th spontaneity which a person reflects with whenever needed is appreciable for me. Another thing i like is the caring nature. How a person deals with known as well as unknown human being. Other traits are honesty but with those people whom you know from a long time. You can't expect honesty from a person you don't know.

I agree these traits are all admirable... and the first one is a trait that I don't do to well at. I'm not a decision maker at all, it is something I work at constantly, and therefore very admirable to me.
As for honesty... I do expect honesty... is that wrong?

I admire people who can still smile through the storm. Those people who have been to hell, yet knows exactly how to laugh and make everything ok because very few people have this kind of trait. Others might think that it isn't a good trait because it's like you are pretentious or whatever, but for me it's one hell of a trait. Hope i can be like that.

I don't think its pretentious at all. I also think its amazing. I was always impressed with my fathers ability to have served in two wars, and to come home and be a loving father and husband. After the terrors he witnessed, he could have been a very depressed and miserable person, but instead he came home ready to give his children a happy hopeful view of the world.
This trait makes me think of the song that's says:
"Smile though your heart is aching
Smile though it may be breaking
Though there are clouds in the sky
You'll get by
If you smile through your deepest sorrows
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll see the sun come shining through
If you just ... smile"

hi.........glords...
in my life i admire one person that's my dad..he is for me a perfect man in my life and i am very great full that god has given me as a dad as him....i like to be like him...in personally,socially,and in every aspect........its my dad who let me think so highly....

I admire professional wrestlers especially Bret Hart and Trish Stratus just because I want to be a pro wrestler and am training to be one and i think they rae two of the best and they inspire me to live out my dream

I also admire people who are good at their profession. I know it is very hard to become a professional athlete. It takes a lot of persistence, talent, and hard work. I've always thought that if you are going to do something you should try your hardest to do it well. That is a good trait to admire in someone. I wish you luck on living out your dreams... I guess that is a trait I admire as well. It is very difficult to follow your dreams. There are so many paths in life that are easy to take, but those who choose to follow their dreams are truly courageous.
