Did you end up having the work you want as a child?

I just wonder if you ended up having the work you want when you were young? How does it feel having it and for people who ended up being not what they want? Did you learn to love it or you still wish you were what you want?

When I was a kid I wanted to end up working in a music studio making music with bands. Now I'm a debt collector. I love my job but I'd give anything to be working in a studio. I do envy people who are doing what they always dreamed they wanted to be like my best friend who is about to start uni to become a nurse. I envy her for going to distance and I am very proud of her. but hate myself for not sticking with my dream instead of letting little things that now don't matter get in the way.

I hate being a teacher when i was young because it's kinda tiring job and students are troublesome (not all though). I abhor it if you want a stronger word for that, but i ended up being a teacher and liking it now. Little did i know that i? a once troublesome student will be a teacher and my troublesome students are now my friends lol..Thanks for the comment Suzy..I understand your point.
