Do your kids like reading and writing?

My toddler son has just learned how to scribble. He enjoys making marks on paper. My teenage son is fourteen years old and he likes reading non-fiction books especially those about history. He doesn't enjoy writing and finds spelling challenging. This school holiday he is doing well with revising spelling one hundred different words.

My son was a bit slow starting to read, but once he did he became an avid reader. He also loves to write stories - often related to those games he plays LOL - but he is not the best speller in the family. My daughter likes to read, but doesn't read that much now that she's working. She is very good at writing both in content, grammar and spelling.

i have four teen children and they have different likes. my first born a 18 years old lad loves drawing and i think he is really good at it. my second born a 17 year old sweet daugther she loves art on paper. she design her scrapbook very colorful and very artistic. my third born an intelligent 15 years old who is graduating in highschool this school year loves to read. she reads almost everything she sees. books and pocket books and is very good in remembering words. the youngest who is 13 years old loves to watch movies. movies that you can learn something from. the most favorite movie she loves is the man with an iron mask of leonardo de caprio. they have their different likes and i just love seeing them doing it.

My daughter is about 19 months, and she never used to care when we read to her, she would just walk away. But the last month or so, she constantly brings me and my husband books for us to read, and a lot of the times the books ask where things are, and she can point them out! I love it! She likes to walk around, pretending to read, it's so adorable!

Yep, he sure does. Though he's still two, I'm teaching him how to read and good to see that he's paying so much attention that at times he asks for pen and paper and he draws, scribbles, and pretending to read.
