Why don't we see Lord of the Rings type big movies....

I think the problem is economic cessation,if not what has happened to the movie industry we have to wait for a long period of time to watch a good English movie.

True great movies like lord of rings are most expected. Its a great movie and i remember watching the movie with my friends.

Movies like LOTR raise expectations from fans each time they come out...So besides recession, I guess to keep quality intact, these movies are in a halt right now. Harry Potter has taught a lesson I guess, because after huge success and fan followings, HP movies are no more the same like the first few.
