Normally this isnt something that I would even think about!! but last year hubby had been taking classes out of state and bought a refurbished laptop from a local office store around us....and we have the desk top that me and my son uses.
well then after the first of the year, we came across a great deal and got another laptop due to helping out a friend when he was selling some stuff and hubby said I can have the second laptop after we had some work done on it since it wasnt working completely.... so of course I loved the idea.
We finally got the second laptop working and hubby's first laptop kind of went out on him so he is using the second laptop... and I still have my desktop!!
As I was cleaning up after my yard sale and trying to put some stuff away I had to move one of the laptops and wondered how many people have so many computers in there house!!
so my question is.... how many computers do you have in your house?

We officially have 3 computers in our house now. At one time there were four, but not anymore. lol Yea, 4 computers for 2 people - craziness!! See my husband had a laptop for both work and home and now I have my net book. We use to also have a desktop but we decided to just get rid of that and use a home laptop for the things we were using the desktop for.

oh my goodness, 4 computers for 2 people is craziness but its probably good that you downsized to 3... but I can completely understand when there is a work computer and a home computer.. that makes sense to me to have more than one then. --hubby got his first laptop for school ...and then his recent one is for work and now he is trying to set it up for everything and then I get the old laptop.
thanks for the response and have a great night!

I have 2 computers in the house. One is a desktop, that is shared amongst everyone (and the one I use most) and the other is a laptop that is only used by one person.

I am surprised to see that is pretty much the normal way of it now... 2 computers per household and usually it is a desktop and laptop. It is even that way with us now...LOL
thanks for the response and have a great night.

We have two, one is mine and the other my son with CP uses. That way if he deletes something, it won't be anything I need. My husband has no interest in a computer at all.

funny my hubby has 2 laptops now, and I have the desktop...and he is always going back and forth between his two... I just continue to use my desktop that is in the living room and I am always within feet of my kids, so this way I can be on all day if I have too and not worry about what the kids are up to.
thanks for the response and have a great night.

It almost seems necessary today to have a desktop and a laptop... this way you always have one that has backup on the other.
thanks for the response and have a great night.

I can definitely see when you have that many people in the house using computers that you will need more than one.
thanks for the response and have a great night.

Currently we only have one computer in our house, I would like to get a laptop one of these days, because we always seem to fight over the one we have..lol. I don't know when that will happen though.

I just have one computer and it's a desktop. That's all I can afford. I've been told that the laptops are not all they're cut out to be unless you're going to travel or whatever. I always thought it would be nice to have one that I can take outside and use on the patio if I want to enjoy the outdoors.
How did your yard sale go, btw? I hope you did really well this time. Kathy.

I think it would be great to be able to sit out in the yard and let the kids play and I can be on the computer out there...thats what I plan for the summers, and I have been working so hard in my yard to get to that point....hmmm, one day!!
thanks for the response and have a great night.

There are 2 in my house, a laptop and a desktop. I use the laptop al the time and the deksopt does't get used unless I can't get something to work on my laptop. So, acatually, my desktop can be used as a backup as I had it first before I got my laptop. I like the idea, that I can watch tv while I am in here whereas the desktop is in another room. I can take my laptop with me too, and I ike that as well. Have a grest day, and happy mylotting.

I love the convenience of the laptop, I will use my hubby's once in a while, but then the desktop always feels more comfortable for me since I am use to that one...
thanks for the response and have a great night.

Hi yap, in my house also i got three computers, from that one is a laptop which i used as my potable machine, and am using another stand alone pc also in my room. other computer is used my my dad, normally i do not gave access to others to my pc which is in my room. because i have lot of personnel stuffs in it. and all the other family members are using my dad computer. but these days its also giving some troubles, i thinks that there is some VGA issue with it. any way when your using more than one pc at home they will be great advantages, like we know we always got a backup machine with us when every we got any troubles middle of an important work we can shift that work to other computer and start it from there soomthly.

We used to have 4 including the laptop. But I finally got rid of my old windows 98 computers, and am down to a desktop and a laptop at the moment. My laptop is an ME edition and I am going to clean that up and give it away soon as it doesn't work with any new programs anymore. I am hoping to buy a new laptop this year, so that my son and I can both work on the computer at the same time again instead of sharing one. Me for work and him for school that is.

Hello,
In my house their are about 4 computers, all varying in how good they perform. Some of them vary from an 800MHz processor to a 2.4GHz processor, so yea, quite a good range. Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!
