When do a friend become a best friend?

A friend becomes a best friend over a long period of time most of the time. That person must have all of the qualities of a best friend and more. But it may take longer or shorter periods of time for other people to figure it out.

I think a friend becomes a best friend when the prove to be there for you at any time, whether you are in need or not. They know when to back off also and they know when to give you positive direction also without being jealous of you.

A friend become a bestfriend, if you know exactly the attitude of each other. When both of you already build a trust with each other. I have a bestfriend now, we have a very large age gap but we unite in many things. I know when she was angry or happy, eventhough she will not tell me the truth I have the feeling of what she is feeling inside. I already know her. I already know her wants and don'ts. Vice versa she knows me too. She became an extended siblings to me. I feel we are sister not in blood but in mind and heart. She is my bestfriend. She is willing to help me and solve my problems with her help. She is always there. I never imagined a person will be always be there, thank God he gave me her, this makes my life worthy.

For me it's hard tell when do a friend become your bestfriend. i have so many friends but there is noone that i can truly say who is my bestfriend. i guess it's how you personally define the meaning of the word "bestfriend". I remember in my high school years there is this friend whom i treated as my bestfriend. I thought she also think of me in the same way unfortunately i ended up getting hurt in the end because it turned out that i was only a good seatmate sharing homeworks. When one instance i was not able to share i was immediately replaced by another classmate. Since then I just enjoyed getting friends with anybody without any expectations.

When I was in high school my best friend was pretty much the only friend I had who I really trusted, and so it was probably that which made her the best friend. At the moment I am not sure if I have a best friend, though the friends I do have are on different levels. I think if I were to get a best friend again it would be the person that confided in me and who I could confide in, who understood me completely, got my sense of humour, could make me laugh in return, and yea, probably someone I had known for a long period of time and had become fond of. They would be the one person I would definitely want around for life changing events, that's for sure. I don't understand. Best means the top friend, you can't have more than one best friend, you can have many good friends but only one best.

hello sathish! you know what, ever since, i have treated my mom as my bestfriend... and as to my friends, i think i never have one before...they are all just close friends...but now, there's this one friend of mine that im always with, we go out together regularly, we can talk anything and everything under the sun, we started sharing secrets...we're enjoying each others company! and since people saw us always together, they started tagging us as "bestfriend" when other people saw me they will ask me "hey where is your best friend" and vice versa...and so i think now, we are really already best friends! hehehe we call each other best friend and we feel like we really are and she's like a sister to me as well...

A friend becomes a best friend over time. The more time you spend with them, the more you get to know them the more you care about them and your relationship grows. A best friend is someone that has always been there, maybe shared a lot of good memories with. I don't have many best friends, I have friends and I care about them, but it's the ones that I've know the longest, shared alot of time and with and formed memories. Seen eachother at our worst and didn't care because we still liked eachother for who we were as people. So I think a best friend is a true friend that has stood the test of time and has never lingered back into the crowd, grown with you through good and bad times and found a spot in our heart that only they could take.
