Sony has unveiled the new slimline playstation 3. It will be going on sale in september in Japan and will be around £50 cheaper than the current model. The hard drive size has been increased from 80gb to 120gb and the slimline model also consumes less energy.
This I beleive is a good thing for sony as in my opinion the playstation 3 is the best console on the market but many people have been put off by the price tag. I have to admit I also feel a little cheated as I want a slimline one and now im going to have to pay for a new one.
So will you be buying a slimline ps3 if you dont own one?
If you do own a current playstation 3 will you go out of your way to buy a slimline.

i personally own an xbox360 and with the recent price drops the fact that its not so huge anymore and the increased hard drive space i am extremelly tempted to go out and buy one. I think Sony is trying to make its product more accesible to the American/British/Japanese/everywhere else market. I think it is working.
