Last Season it was Anelka who became top scorer with Ronaldo close behind. However with Ronaldo gone to Madrid who is your favourite to become top scorer. Personally i think Rooney will get alot more than usual for Manchester United because of Ronaldo's departure. Torres despite having a poor game at spurs i think will also bag his fair share of goals. Who will be the top scorer of premier league put your favourite and explain why? will welcome any opinions wrote onto this discussion.

Hi Bryanx, There are a few candidates for this award. Dorgba is a good bet but he would be out for a month during African Nation cup. Anelka is a good bet too but he is not so selfish. It is important to be selfish since striker are mean to score goals. Rooney is a good choice too. Since Ronaldo left, there is a hole in Man United goal getter and Rooney should take advantage of it. But my bet will goes to Torres. As long as keep fit, he definitely will score a lot of goal like his first season in Anfield. He has a powerful killer instinct and can score from anywhere. He is a complete striker.

I think it will either be Drogba or maybe Arshavin, i would prefer it to be Arshavin as he is a fanstastically talented player, i cannot stand Drogba, he is arrogant and pig headed and throw his toys out of the pram whenever things dont go his way.

Drogba is annoying he can be a brilliant goalscorer if he stayed on his feet. Whoever said Adebayor this season he is in top form atm.

Torres did amazing last season even though he was out for a bit if he can stay fit then i reckon he will lead the charts.

Maybe Adebayor, Tevez, and Anelka can do it. Rooney got a chance too. Personally I choose Rooney, because I like his club ( Not big fans but still like it ). About Torres, I think he couldnt make it again this year, because there`s low supply ball for him, so he will scoring harder this year I think.

Well its very early in the season to really predict that. But i think Rooney(If he stays fit for the whole season) will be a strong favorite to become the top scorer in BPL this time.He will be closely contested no doubt.Anelka,Torres have all good chances to score 30 plus goals this season.I am not sure about Tevez or Adebayor, really depends on how Manchester city performs in this season.

Wayne Rooney has certainly helped his case to be the top scorer with four goals at the weekend against Phil Brown's Hull City. There are some great strikers in with a shout and seven players are in double figures for the season with three on 14 goals each (Bent, Defoe, Drogba). It will certainly be an interesting race and I have a feeling the title race could have a say on who wins the Top Scorer award.
