I usually get exactly 8 hours every night. Hardly ever do I get less. I go to sleep at 10pm and wake up at 6 to go to work. On the weekends, I'l stay up a little later, but I sleep later as well.

Im agree with sleep hours, as I took 5-6 hour sleep in any working day whereas in hoilday, its almost 8 hours because I have to recharge myself for the rest of the week. As I join mylot recently, it somehow distrupt my schedule, but now i think i have to look into matter seriously.

Ooo good question. I usually sleep about 5-6 hours during the weekdays, but then on the weekends I sleep for 10. Here's hoping it makes up the difference.

Hm...if you get 6 hours minimum it's ok...nothing to worry and your schedule as of now looks ok.If you sleep for more than 9 hours on regular working day's, you might sleep lazy throughout the day....so, 6 -8 hours is perfect duing regular day's.... Anyway's, thanks for responding

10-14 hours a day...! bad living for sure.I feel, one should not sleep more than 9-10 hours of sleep as one feels lazy throughout the day...don't you think so? and yours is 10-14....lolz....too much it is and try to reduce your sleep if possible for your own good.. Anyway's, thanks for responding

I agree that between 6 -8 hours is a good amount of sleep to have. I usually sleep more than that. But recently I have been getting around 4 hours of sleep. Don't know why.

Oh...4 hours of sleep is very less and i think you have to do something about it as less sleep will effect your health most of the times.Might be , you need to excercise on regular basis and that will make you get enough sleep without any problem.... Anyway's, thanks for responding

Clearly I am not a normal healthy person. I have been averaging 5-6 hours if I am lucky. I do blame myLot recently, however. Now, let's see if YOU respond to your responses. Babies. Babies do not help sleep. Wow, you have a lot of points.

Oh...you have to do something to maintain minimum of 6 hours as it is needed for everybody..otherwise, you might have problems later.Lack os sleep is alway's bad for health. You can consult your doctor regarding this and hear to what all he say's first , then decide... Anyway's, thanks for responding

i dont agree this is an average they say the average person needs this amount of sleep which means there are many pople falling above and below this amount. i asked my doctor about this not long ago because i though mayby i was suffering from insomnia, i will go to bed and sometimes i could lay awake for hours and my physician asked if i could function the next day (yes) as well as other questions and his conclusion was that mayby i just didnt need as much sleep. when i started thinking about it i realized my dad (age 50) usually goes to sleep at 10 or 11 and gets up for work at 4 so only 5 or 6 hours for him is good, and my granfathere does the same so mayby there is a genetic component to this. I also have children aged 3 and 1 1/2 so mayby im used to not getting as much sleep because when they were infants no sleep let me tell you, mayby an hour and then one of them was awake and needing me

Maybe older peole will sleep for less hours and my discussion might well hold good till 55-60 years and i also believ it maynot work for old people who are more than 60 yesrs of age as they sleep for less hours...isn't it? but, for others less than 6 hours will effect them andif you sleep for more thyan 9 hours, you will feel lazy for most part of the day....don't you think so? Anyway's, thanks for responding
