Hey, hi there realan, How are you doing? I commented to a cute post of yours where you mentioned your "sneaky" cat you should have named Tom. ...hehehe... Anyway, did finally find my way back to that topic and saw your kind reply. Appreciated it, but did not leave another one of my own to yours. Sorry! ...*wanting to insert a "friendly smile" here... It's great to read that you have a friend you have not only known, but also have been close to for over 23 years. That's really cool to have been with them through thick and thin, especially for such a long length of time! Gee, in a way I sort of envy you because I am more of a private person or whatever folks would consider me. I don't really perhaps "allow" myself to get close to others for whatever reasons. I do though have a former neighbor friend of mine who I've known for 12 years (and her husband) who lived across the street until they moved to Florida three years ago, then back here to Ohio late last summer. We have always stayed in touch and have also been there to help and support and listen to one another any time we could. They are in the process of moving back into their house across the street come the first of September. I am so looking forward to once again having them (and their three pet pooches) not only as my neighbors, but also dear friends. Take care, firefox333

Hi realan, Glad you do/did remember my other comment. I would have commented again, but it was so hard to find my way back to that discussion, probably because I commented on YOUR comment, but not to the actual topic itself. Wow! What a mouthful. Cool about you and your longtime friend being each others kid's "aunts" and such. Yes, perhaps it is easier for whatever reasons to form long lasting friendships when we are younger. Now that I think back about it tho', I did have a real close girl friend at the time from my days in elementary school. But my family and I moved during the summer when I was 10, going on 11. Too bad my little friend and I didn't keep in touch by becoming pen pals and such. Because... I once had a friend named Janet, not sure which one of us began it. Tho' I moved counties away, it was not from this planet and I wish I had kept in touch with Janet. By the way, thanks for your friend request. I was also gonna ask, but you beat me to it! *lol* However, you might change your mind after reading my above corny limmeric (sp? no clue or time to find 4 now), but hope not! :) Take care, firefox333

I met Monica one year earlier than you: we were in 6th grade. That would make us friends for about 55 year now. She is living now at the US and I live in Chile. Today (as many other days) she made me what I call a phone visit. She has some of those phone plans. WE never talk for less tah an hour. And many things are not even completly said because we know each other so much that we know our reactions. She was with me here in the worst times of my life. And of course, she has been with me in other wondereful moments.

That is a long time, and it sounds like a special friendship. I hope you get to visit each other too! Thanks for the wonderful comment.

Lucky, you remember that. In my case, I lost the count. I think I am continuing from the last berth.

I had to count the years, because I also had lost count. LOL! Thanks for your comment!
