Have you ever purchased a car from a auction before?

I recently attended an auction with a friend of mines and I actually placed a bid on a 1999 Chrysler 300 and I paid $1000 for it. I was so excited for me. The only major issue with it was that it needed a paint job, the interior was all nice and clean, mag wheels or rims, large speaker box and amp included. Runs great, lot of engine power and its a 6 cylinder I think. There were lots of old and new cars coming thru the line for sale. After that, its the only way I'm going to buy my cars and recommend that same for family and friends. I wish I could saw you a picture of my new car.

I have never had the courage to buy a car this way either. Although in today's changing world I might just try it. My friend has bought all three of her cars on craigslist and my stepdad bought quite a few of his cars through auctions and they are both very happy with their purchases. I am a little skeptical as I would normally buy one from someone with the "for sale" sign and test drive it and having my dad look over the car and talk to the person selling it for awhile and make a process out of buying the car. However, I do want to try an auction as I have heard good things.
