Is this the best time to buy a High Definnition LCD TV?

Recently I went to an electronics showroom and was impressed by the festive season offers on High Definition LCD TVs. But should I go for it all of a sudden or can I expect another rapid decrease in the prices of HDTV? Or should I wait for any other technology to come up? (In India HD TVs are not yet common)

yeah that's true that in india these are not so common i hav a lg lcd tv i bought it for rupees 52000. :( now it is available for only 30,000 rupees. so we can clearly see that the prices of the lcd tv's are dropping rapidly mainly because there are too many companies that are proving their lcd's at much affordable prices like panasonic, hitachi n all. but m not so sure about their durability. so its completely up to you you can buy an lcd tv now they are really affordable now.
