.... Woman to be canned for drinking beer ...

sure in western culture its horrible. however the woman is MUSLIM, and she KNEW that under Islamic law it was punishable by either fines, prison term and caning. sucks true, but she knew the chances she was taking and she COULD have appealed like the other Muslims who were detained for drinking in the same raid. One of which is also a woman, but like the article said she is appealing. from the sounds of it they should be thankful they even have the opportunity to appeal! bad as that sounds. whats really stupid of her is the not appealing..she MAY have gotten a fine instead, especially if she stated her part time work..which is modeling. then again her modeling work probably doesnt show anything remotely near her buttocks. although in a way i CAN understand why she isnt appealing. it is only 6 lashes, with a lighter cane than the men get. perhaps her family cant afford a possible fine, nor does she want to be away from her family for 3 years. all in all a cruddy situation, but she knew the possible consequences to her actions.

Well, I guess that's the end of that ladies part time modelling career. Sometimes, the ways of others seem so harsh and cruel, but, they choose to live that way, so who am I?

wow, i dont have anything to say either... im speechless. some countries and religions do have very strict laws compared to others. and there is nothing one can do but to follows these rules.
