How many of you think a goatee looks good?

My youngest son's hair is almost red. Well because of this stupid case lately they have had him under cover, and he had to dye his hair dark colored. On top of all of that he grew a beard and then dyed that. He look's good with it, to a point but still I like him better clean shaven and red headed. His wedding photo's look almost funny because of the dark hair and beard.

It really depends on the face. Facial hair is just like the hair on top of your head, it might look good cut one way but not another. If a guy has a goatee and it fits his personality and looks good on him, then goatees are fine. If you have a full beard and it fits your personality and looks good on you, then that's fine too. If you're confused I would suggest just trying a few different cuts. Or, if your facial hair doesn't grow very fast, you could try finding a program or website where you can put your clean shaven picture in and add different facial hair to it. You'll have to remember what your growth pattern is though, if you do it that way. As an example, the hair doesn't grow one either side of my boyfriend's lips, so he wouldn't be able to cut his facial hair into the shape that's referred to as a Full Riker.

A goatee may or may not look good depending on the facial contour of the face. If the man is naturally hairy, with thick hair and square face, a goatee may look just fine. In fact, it adds up to "manliness". However, if someones hair is too thin and not evenly distributed, with elongated face and naturally smooth skin, a goatee may not do the trick. It might just make him look untidy. But anyway, you facial attribute is just basic. It needs to be complimented by your personality. If your personality tells you otherwise than what your facial attribute tells about you, you might want to shave or grow some hair. =)
