Is the world going downhill?

As our society quickly ages, do you feel that people are becoming more corrupt and are losing their sense of morals? If so, why do you think this is the case?
On the other hand, please also share your thoughts if you think that people have always been this way, or have even been better as a whole in the present.

Dubious deeds and selfish attitude of some people make us feel that people's moral
values have degenerated.A unhealthy desire for money backed by underhand dealings
of people in power make us feel corruption is deep rooted.But a glance at history reveals that there have been several periods when people felt the world was falling into an abyss.There are always people who work ethically and whose conduct is good
as there are in the present day.But circumstances make us feel the world is going downhill.In the present day we have a lot to be thankful for like better technology in almost all walks of life which has made life easier and better for most of us.The present downfall of moral values are also bound to improve one day as we cannot continue to live in the same fashion forever.
