Hello, mylotters. Do you suffer from any kind of allergies? does it really affect your day to day activities? In my situation i often sneeze and i don't like others to see my nose like rudolf. I have a seasonal allergy and I think indoor too. I was diagnosed with acute allergic rhinitis and almost hospitalize. I've been using nasal sprays for months to prevent the symtoms. How about you guys? are you hospitalize due to allergy?

I do suffer from allegies. With the weather that our area is having it seems the attacks are coming more often. I stumbled upon something that really works. It ia an all natural remedy that works miracles. It is BROMELAIN. Bromelain is an herb in pill form that you can find at your Wal-Mart store in the vitamin and herb section. I started taking it and in a few days I saw a big difference. Give it a try and let me know your outcome.

I have a mild allergy to cold. My nose starts running whenever I am exposed for a long time to any cold area. But nothing serious. It's just seasonal. During the winter I get cold but never hospitalized. Also I sometimes seem to have dust allergy. Again the same thing. Whenever there is a lot dust in any area my nose starts running or I start sneezing.

i have some seasonal type allergies but not too bad. i am allergic to cats and that can be a bit worse as it affects my breathing and my eyes swell and itch. other than that i really do not have any other allergies. my son is allergic to peanuts and treenuts which is a very dangerous thing because he could simply be near someone eating one of those and could have a serious, life-threatening reaction.

So he doesn't even have to eat them to get a reaction?

So far I wasn't hospitalized due to my perennial allergic rhinitis. I've accepted all my life to have this condition. I'm allergic to smoke, pollen, strong scent of perfumes, and occasionally dust. My doctor told me to move to another location llke going to the beach or highlands. There's less risk of having allergy in those areas. Sometimes, when there's attack or episode of allergy, I usually counteract it with local antihistamine although it makes me sleepy heh...heh..

I hate allergies i did not find out that i had them until 11th grade and when i got tested i am allergic to a lot of things but i found out from the doctor that if you have allergies when you are young one will eventually grow out of them but if you don't get them until you are older they just get worse with age. I have been hospitalized 5 times because my eyes swell so bad that i cann't see for hours or even a whole day.

i believe im allergic to my boss. ever since our former marketing manager had gone, our president, now my boss, gave every work of the former marketing manager to me without even giving me additional allowance at least to do the extra job for the company. ever since then, i have developed this allergic reaction to going to work. every morning i have this cough and colds and it would not stop even if im taking up meds. now i was given anti biotic and i still these allergies are there. hope to get well soon! else i need to have a better job elsewhere!

you are the only one who stated allergic to boss. Nice one! I think you are traumatric stressed with your "Bossy Boss" and psychologically affects your system. You should know how to handle your situation or else things will get into worst. Your working environment is not healthy, physically, emotionally and mentally. Bad boss! Thanks for the share.

The only thing I'm allergic to is penicillin. It certainly doesn't affect my day to day life, but boy do I have to be careful when I go to the doctor. I'm not sure the reaction would be any worse than a mild skin rash, but still...better to be safe than sorry! The first and only time I ever had a reaction to it was when I was a young teen, maybe 13 or 14. The doctor gave me some and I got a rash on my torso.
Other than that one small thing, I have no other allergies. Not to cats or dogs, plants or anything. I'm really greatful that I'm not allergic to anything. Colds are miserable and I can't stand a runny nose! Drives me insane with all the wiping. And when your nose gets chapped...NO FUN!

That's a really mild reaction to penicillin, I recall a neighbor back in the 1960s who'd gotten that shot and ended up in the ER.

Yes I suffer with hayfever usually during the month of May and September. This past May was not bad at all. A couple of day ago I started to sneeze alot and my nose was starting to run so maybe the allergy problem is starting earlier for me this year. I hate it when I start to sneeze and sneeze and can't stop. I have sneezed at least 10 times in a row, but the worst part of allergies is when your eyes itch and you can't get them to stop.

I have tried alot of things but nothing really works. It either puts me to sleep or I feel like a zombie. So I just deal with the symptoms as best as I can. When my eyes get really bad, I have lay down with a wet cloth on my eyes and sleep.

ten times in arow? woah! that's alot. I only sneeze four times in every minutes. what do you usualy do to lessen the symptoms? do you have medications? sometimes taking medicines is too tiring, once your okay, after a few weeks heres the allergy again. Thanks for sharing, lelin.

Asthma can be trigger anytime... by being so happy, sad, and by environment. So, how do you manage your allergy in dust? Do you cover your nose when your out or your wearing mask all time time? Wearing mask is annoying. Thanks for the response. ciao!

I don't know if I'm allergic to anything, but I do sneeze a lot. Although I think it's just me. I usually sneeze 2-3 times in a row. I hate it a lot, but I've always done this. It comes random too. I think I probably sneeze about 10-30 times a day, everyday. Haven't gone to the doctor to get a check up but it seems that nothing will really help either.

You better should seek doctors help, it's already a sign of allergy. Before I was not concious when it comes to my health and then one day i wasn't able to get up on bed because of the simple sneeze that turns to worst. atleast the physician gave me some advices and remedies to my allergic rhinitis. It helps a lot.

I guess I could get a check up. Just that I've been sneezing like this since I could even remember. And it's not like it got worse or anything, that's why I'm not really bothering to do much yet. But I'll take that advice.

woah! probably you spend much on check-ups and medications. I hate when skin testing done to me. It's so painful. A bee sting? a sting may trigger anaphylactic reaction that is potentially deadly. I think people are more exposed to allergens due to our environmen.
Thank you for your time, Rhoday.

I have allergies sometimes.. i'm not really sure what causes them to start up though... i used to think it was seasonal but it doesn't seem to be.. dust does it for me. but not sure what else.. they do bother me when i have them but i always take some kind of meds to get them to go away. i can't stand having a runny nose.

well, i think it's allergic rhynitis. my nose easily react to dust too. having a runny nose is annoying. I remember before when i was still in school taking the mid-term exams i always wipe my nose from time to time because of runny nose... i wasn't able to concetrate and got the lowest mark in class.

lucky i dont have. but my wife has alergies to dust and sometimes she gets ashtma attacks if she inhaled a lot of it. she knows how to control it by cleaning the house more often. using a vacuum so that the dirt will not be scattered around. she also have her inhaller incase she feels attacked coming. she was never hospitalized due with that under my watch.

Your so lucky. You should cover your nose whenever your exposed to pollution to avoid development of allergies. Asthma? I think inhaller for asthma has a bad prolong side effects, i saw it on our local news. My phisician didn't advice me to use those.

I used to have really bad allergies due to pollen. I've never had it so bad though that I was hospitalized. But for a long time I took anti-allergy medicine everyday and it hardly ever worked, until my mom decided to get me immunized. I had weekly injections for a while and then once every two weeks, and then every three weeks, etc etc. Now I still get allergies once in a while, but never that bad, and usually subsides as soon as I take anti-allergy medicine.

I have seasonal allergies that don't affect me until August/September. I would guess it's hayfever and ragweed because those are the only things that have ever bothered me. The stuffy nose and watery eyes I can basically deal with but the itchy palate? OMG...it feels like I could use a fork to scratch (I don't but it's tempting). I don't really bother with allergy medications because while it alleviates the symptoms for some reason I develop a rash (allergy to allergy meds?)...weird.

Itchy palate? does your physician advised you not to eat certain food to avoid the itchy? I'm not sure if I suffer the same symtoms as you do but sometimes my throat is itchy, dry, and intolerable and sometimes my inner ears too. alergic to allergy meds? well, i think your physicial should give you another anti-histamine. It happends to me.
Thank you for sharing, jaydee

I am very lucky in that I only suffer from mild seasonal allergies. My friend is so allergic to pets that she has to take pills every time she visits me because I have dogs, but the pills make her so sleepy that it is almost not worth it. Another friend of mine has a child who is allergic to almost everything. He cannot play in grass as he breaks out in a terrible rash and he cannot eat things like nuts and many fruits. I am very thankful not to have severe allergies - I know for my friends it definitely does affect them and where they go.

Pets? like dogs? I hate dogs hair. It really trigers allergies and asthma. Does your friend also suffer in asthma? your friend's child pretty sure has a limitation towards playing. he'she definately miss his/her childhood due to allergies. your friend must be watching and tailing her child to avoid allergies....
