How do you pray? Can you pray in your head? Or do you have to speak outloud? I went to church when I was a kid. I don't think I ever learned how. What do you pray for? Do you ask for thngs? Is it possible to ask for too much? How do you know God is listening? How do you know when He answers? I'm sorry for all of the questions. I really want to know. I've tried to pray, but sometimes I can't clear my head or think of what to say.

Hi, I agree with CeeJay. Praying is just talking to God. Prayer can be done many ways. Jesus taught his disciples how to pray. He said in Matthew 6:9, pray in this manner.... Our Father which art in heaven... Reverence God for who He is. Hallowed be thy name...He is holy Thy Kingdom come....Pray that His kingdom will come Thy Will be Done...Pray that His will be carried out Give us this day our daily bread....Request for material needs Forgive us our debts.... Forgiveness Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil....Deliverance The simplicity of prayer makes God accessible to us all. Jesus also said, do not use vain repetitions as the heathens do. This means you don't have to use fancy words to talk to God. Just talk to Him like you would your friend. You don't have to think of what to say. Just tell Him how you love Him. He knows all about us but He says in the bible "Make your request known unto God" (Phillipians 4:16. Tell Him what you want and need. This is prayer. He hears you. God does answers prayers but it may not always be the way we want Him to answer it. Remember God knows whats best for us. No, He won't always give us what we think we want. Sometimes we have to go through things to make us a better person. And for your other question is it possible to ask for too much. The bible also says you have not because you ask not. I'll end here, because this is a subject I definitely love and I could go on and on because I love God so much.

Good day to you praying is actually talking to God, just like making conversations with him. God dont bother asking to much for yourself, actually He loves it. And of course God answers all your prayers but not instantly meaning you have to wait patiently for the right time. there are billions of people that are praying to God so answers may take too long.

I pray "in my head".. I do it pretty much all the time. Sometimes I ask questions or ask for things, but mostly I just talk to God about everything... all the time. I usually kind of turn my thoughts into more prayer like conversations rather than just taking some endless list to God.
