yes, generally I'm always online on my Yahoo, I use it to communicate with business associates and as contact point I try to be online most of the time although there are time when I'm offline for a variety of reasons but even when I'm not in front of the PC my YM is online I just leave a status message of not being in front of the PC.

i use yahoo messenger more than skype. my friends use yahoo messenger too. i have several friends who are in far away places and the cheapest way that we can communicate is through those chat applications.

Yes, I am always online. When I am not sitting at my computer, messages go to my phone. I have several accounts and I also have several phones including a PDA so it will connect to PDA. i'm always on aim when i'm online.. i don't ever really go on my other messengers in less someone ask me too and i want to talk to them and they don't have aim or something.... i'm always on but you might not always be able to see me. i go into hiding mood a lot but usually during the day because i come and go and i don't always remember to say bye to people lol so i just don't talk to anyone anymore during the day really...

At some moment in the day I stay offline and at night I do log out so I stay online only when I am infront of my laptop so that I can talk to friends instead of being online when in fact I am not.
