Hi there, I was just wondering what you consider World Wrestling Entertainment to be. Sports Entertainment or Professional Wrestling? As for me and several people I know, WWE would be considered Sports Entertainment. The basis is indeed in professional wrestling, but currently the biggest company that could actually be considered professional wrestling is Ring Of Honor. (TNA would be a combination of the two but mostly sports entertainment).

I think I have to go 50/50 on this one. Now wrestling is still considered a sport so people still see WWE as being a sport show however with all the talking that goes on in the shows today it has become entertainment but these guys are still doing professional wrestling as this stuff you see on TV is considered pro. I think though if you want to see more of a wrestling show watch TNA but if you want to see more entertainment watch WWE. I still like both shows no matter what. And Im actaully trainign to becoem a perfessional wrestler so im hoping that is what I will be considered an not just an actor of sports entertainment. Good discussion and happy mylotting!

Thanks for the reply and good luck with your training. I am actually working on saving the money to train to be professional wrestler too.

I will consider WWE as SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT rather that professional wrestling. Speaking of professional, I don't think all wrestlers, who are currently under WWE terms and rules, are professional enough to be counted as a wrestler, ESPECIALLY in divas division. For me, WWE is more about unique, funny, and rare storylines along with wrestling attitude. =) How about you ? What's your opinion ?

Yeah! WWE is a sports entertainment and nothing else. If talk about Professional Wrestling, wrestlers can't challenge each other and hurt even the family members as it happened with Triple H and Shawn Micheal. Professional Wrestling got to be with rigid rules and regulations like only wrestling and no drama and emotions as we regularly see in WWE.

I would say that it is a combination of both.
