Hello guys!
It's nice to be back again..
Uhmmm.. Just wanna ask something.. This' for any linux guys here.
What exactly SELinux does. Why should it be disabled sometimes and on most times, it's enables.. As what I've read, it's for protection..
But what's the main difference of SELinux from the firewall??
THanks in advance and God Bless you all!!
=)

Hi, i don't use SELinux yet, i use CentOS and Ubuntu usually, Linux doesn't have firewall to protect itself from rare virus in linux.
Enjoy mylot!

As what I have experienced, linux have firewalls too. Especially for servers.
Same here. I have used ubuntu and centOs...
Cause, when SELinux is enabled, users in FTP are not allowed to log-in...
When it's disabled, then user can already log-in using their ftp accounts..
THanks for sharing anyways..
God Bless!!

Yes, good firewall is additional hardware firewall my company bought, it is not very expensive, my company is not large and server host is used for storage files.

Hey,
I don't really know how to answer your question, since I don't exactly use Linux, sorry. Hopefully someone else will be able to answer your question better than I have done, in a really good way so you can actually benefit from it. Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!
