becoming the first time mom is thrilling. Every woman in this world feels that she is in the top of the world when she see the face of her new born for the first time, which is her own flesh and blood.

I became a first time mom almost five years ago. We went through all the wonders of a first time pregnancy; we just couldn't wait for our child to be here. It's funny to think our baby was "here" all along in my tummy, but it was a different reality once the baby was out. It was love at first sight (even though we had been loving it for nine months before!).
After the baby was delivered, they placed her right on top of me. I couldn't believe that this little girl was actually here; I was so happy and excited. Then they put her to the side to clean and test her. My husband was hovering over her as much as he could and I could see how he marveled over this first child, his little girl (I was nearly in tears to see the beauty of that).
Then they wrapped her up and brought her over to me. Oh goodness, this little face was looking right at me. Our eyes locked. I was in awe over this tiny beauty. Then all over a sudden, she grinned and laughed. I am so serious!! I will never forget that moment . . . it foreshadowed a lot of silly moments we would later have with our funny little girl. I love her so much.
Now we are expecting our second child. Second time around, the pregnancy experience is totally different (that's another story), but we can't wait for "him" to come. It'll be exciting to have the feelings of becoming a second time mom!!
