How long does it take you to fall asleep?

I normally easily fall asleep and it doesn't take much time for me. When I hit the sack, like in 5 minutes I'll be all knock out. But like if I had insomia, it takes me an hour or two sometimes three before I fall asleep, and it really sucks and disturbing. But this only happens rarely. I'm a sleepyhead and I love to sleep and it's not a problem for me if I wanted to sleep. I easily fall asleep.

i usually like to keep busy until i am really tired and cant stay up anymore. i mostly keep busy on the internet or reading a book or magazine. sometimes, i watch tv. and if i have insomnia, i either do some yoga, meditate, or do my hypnosis tape. and it usually relaxes me and helps me sleep better.

if i am really tired i usually fall asleep within 15 minutes of laying in bed. if i am sorta tired,i put a movie and i usually take me about an hour to go to bed. it depends on what has been going on throughout the day though because if i have alot of my mind then it takes me longer for my mind to shut down.

I have insomnia so it takes me quite a while to fall off. Most nights it takes me a couple of hours and then I usually wake up a lot in between time. I wake up and feel groggy, like I haven't gotten enough much of the time. At its worst, I might go a whole night without sleeping at all or only an hour. A year ago this happened a lot, now most night I get 4 or 5 hours. Since it seems to be getting better, I am hoping that in a couple of years my sleep will be back to what it used to be. You are so lucky it only takes you a few minutes. Even as a child it used to take me a while to fall off.

It depends on how long I've been awake, how tired I am, and what time I need to get up the next morning. Some nights i will stay up for hours watching TV or listening to music, other times, I'll fall asleep right away.

I wish I could fall asleep easily. I think I was born an insomniac. I can't remember a time when I went to bed and fell asleep right away or at least in less than a couple of hours. I've seen doctors about this, but all they want to do is prescribe antidepressants. I'm not depressed. Just an insomniac.

Hi there smooch091784!
It all depends.. There are times when I can sleep immediately. I mean, as soon as I lay down, I would doze off. There are also times when I find it difficult to sleep. Sometimes, it would take several minutes to an hour or so. When I am tired though, I would not have difficulty falling asleep.

It has always taken me a long time to fall asleep. Always longer than half an hour, no matter how tired I am. I do have insomnia, and it is awful. Takes forever to fall asleep and then I wake up after a few hours and am rarely able to go back to sleep. It is not fun!

It takes a long time for me to fall asleep. Especially if the lights are turn on. It is difficult for me to sleep in the day. When it is time for me to go to bed it might take up to 2 hours before i drop to sleep. I don't have a clue why that happens.
I hate this problem of mines because a lot of times i have to go somewhere in the morning. In the morning i am usually tired because of my sleeping problem. You said you were a good sleeper, right? So can you tell me the cure to my disease (take too long to drop asleep)

Tell me something. Do you usually sleep in the light or in the dark? I usually sleep in a very dim light not because i am scared or anything but because me and my brother sleep in the same room for the moment until his room his fix. My brother is very small and he is afraid of the darkness.

I'm not sure how long it takes me to fall asleep, sometimes I think it takes a long time, but actually I'm probably out in 5 mins. I know my husband can be asleep in seconds, he'll already be snoring, and once in awhile I'll actually beat him going to sleep, he'll let me know the next morning that I was asleep before he was, that only happens if I'm real exhausted.

Hello, it takes me probably about 20 minutes to fall asleep after I turn the lights off.If the weather is hot it takes longer. If it is too cold it will take me longer to fall asleep too.If my feet are too cold it is uncomfortable for me so I have to soak my feet until they warm up then I can fall asleep.
