MyLot 4 paragraph tasks, now only a dollar?

When the 4 paragraph tasks came out they were for at least three sentences each and I did quite a few and made some extra cash which was great. I have been busy elsewhere in the meantime for a couple of months and I come back and check the tasks and the same job is now only a dollar. Are you still doing the dollar ones? I see the longer 4$ ones are there and there are lots of them, but the criteria seems to be more stringent, so who is doing the 1$ tasks and is it worth you time?

I had not noticed any $4 tasks. The last time I tried to accept a task the page just kept reloading. Out of 11 submitted only 1 was rejected and two are still pending. The one that was rejected was sent back because I didn't realize there was a brand name keyword associated with the task. I don't know how I missed it but myLot should have seen it and told me to fix it instead of what actually happened.

So how do you know what the keywords are?

I imagine the four dollar tasks seem to go fairly fast, and even the one dollar that were there a couple of hours ago are all gone. You have to be fast to accept and keep checking regularly throughout the day.

Depends on the subject. I think it would be worth my time since one dollar is worth a lot on my lot and if its easy for me to do I will do it. But I never do parargraph tasks since I always find them complicated even though I would like to do a few.

I don't focus much in mylot task. All of us do not have assurance if all are tasks will be approved. If they will be giving 4 dollars, of course they will not be giving a very task. I just focus in posting quality discussions and responses as well as comments. With this, i am sure that i am being paid. I have also bad experience with one task, one member ask me to sign up under him, that is under mylot task, after signing up, i did not get any credits from the site.So i will rather stay in making discussions and responding to discussions.happy mylotting!

I can't seem to catch any of the paragraph tasks anymore. The only ones I have seen are the "sign up" sites that the members are posting. I done really well on the writing tasks before.

I have not done any of the dollar ones but i did one of the 4 dollar ones the other day. I like them better than the other kinds where you have to join something.

Actually due to their never being a Task I am interested in when I have time to come online in here, I have never done any of the Tasks yet. I have noticed that a lot of them do not pay that much though unless you write at least 6 paragraphs and such so not sure I will do any of those either. But wishing you the Best in your tries.

The reward for the writing tasks definitely fluctuates based on what is being asked. I won't usually accept a writing task for a dollar but some of these are really easy. There were no keywords needed, simply a one word topic - AND you can write anything you want about that topic, as long as you follow the guidelines. So, for a topic that I can write about without any research being needed, I can produce four paragraphs quickly. In that case, I don't mind doing them for $1 each - especially since I had the time today, which worked out nicely. It actually adds up pretty fast :)

I have yet to do a "task"... they all sound like too much work. I'll write about what I want, when I want, thank you.

yes they are a lot of work, however you can quickly boost your earnings with the tasks, for some it is a good alternative to posting.

They're website content - at least in many cases. A lot of them mention at the bottom of the instructions that the article will be used on a website about that same topic. That's why we're asked not to write about negative experiences (or in the first person) and not to refer to places where things can be purchased online or off. They should be informative but "generic" pretty much. When the tasks first started, I did actually see one of my pieces on a website so that was kind of fun :)

Hello mariposaman, Yesm doing the task is a great way to improved your earning here at mylot. I tried a couple of small ones but not the $1. They seem to go out very fast. I am still thinking on how to finish the task and it is already done. There are a lot of competitions out there and I guess those big tasks are not for me. Regards.

I, like many others, have never done any tasks. I didn't know that there were tasks worth that much (even a $1, let alone $4). I just went there and someone wants a 500 word article written for 45 cents! That's insane. I have heard of bad pay, but that's ridiculous.

It's definitely true that better writers won't stand for writing four paragraphs for a $1. I do a lot of freelancing and there are times I get paid ridiculously low...but not that low, ever. Unless you come from a nation that you don't need much money to live off of then it wouldn't be worth your time. Of course, I don't spend much time here because discussing things on MyLot is only a hobby for me and something that I enjoy relaxing to. But there are a lot of people here hoping for money...and if you can really be excited by the money that you make entering your thoughts here then you must not need as much money to live off of than many of us. I know that we need nearly $1000 a month for rent alone and it would be impossible to make enough to even dent that here on MyLot...

The 500 word ones usually go for 4$ and are for good writers. I would agree 45 cents is not enough, however right now there are about 50 of the 1$ ones and you have to write 4 paragraphs of several sentences each so I do not know what the word count would be on those, and they do not seem to be posted for very long before they disappear. Obviously people are still doing them at the reduced price. While it might seem economical to continually drop the price, The better writers will leave where they can get paid and you will not get them back.

The whole tasks area has become a mess!

This is certainly true, but the "trash" tasks you mentioned are really not very appropriate for most of us. I just hope it doesn't go the way of PickJack and lose a lot of members entirely. I rarely even check it any more.

I see the 1$ tasks have gone up to 1.50 now, I guess nobody was doing them. There still seems to be a lot left and they seem to hang around. I even got a notification prompting me to check out the task area. I think if they had left it at 2$ which is not a lot for the work involved, they would not have a problem.

I thought they had cleaned up and the whole task area by banning those join my website for five cents type of tasks. But I still see lots of them there so I do not know what's going on. As I said I was away from the task area for a few weeks and I do not see a lot of changes. I cannot complain about the task area however because it provides a lot of extra work and income for participants on this website.

I never understand these tasks where they ask to write on some stuff searching on the internet. Though, intially, I tried one but got rejected. As for reduction of profit, it is their prerogative to decide how much they will pay...however, I think the reduction is too much...a full 75% can not be said to be nice....any way, hope in the future they will increase it even more than what they were paying...Good Luck..
