I don't think it is only the little things you do that makes you get so excited. It may be the motivations behind the little things you do that makes you feel that way. No matter how big or small the things you do seem to yourself, there's someone else who will appreciate the smaller things you do more than you do yourself. Getting excited over doing little things doesn't mean you are depressed. It could be that you were bored and need to do something.

I donĀ“t think that people who are depresed will get really exited about anything. Some people have more caopacity to be happy over little things than other people. They are not sick, they are sensitive people. Just that.
Happy posting!

Perhaps, but it sounds more like mania. Bipolar people can have a symptom that sounds like this.

i am not sure if you mean depressed or desperate....but either way i think it is good to celebrate accomplishments in life, even if they are small. I get excited about every little accomplishment i make as it is a boost to my self esteem, and something i can check off my list of things i need to/have to do.

Every little thing that we do add's up. When I do something small and feel good about it I usually see something bigger and try and do that, when I finish that I know then and there I have really accomplished something.
