As a normal human being i think i am not contend with what i have. I am not greedy but there are times and things that makes me unsatisfied with what i already have. Blame the media, and the different trends of things that comes and goes every now and then. I just want at least a couple of those new things that are coming out every now and than. Apart from that there are also a lot of necessities in life that doesn't always have to be right for us all of our lifetime.

There are things I'd like to have. I'd like the house painted , a few more pieces of furniture , a nicer car.. But I am content because I have everything I need and then some . I have shelter , and food , and a man that loves me . I also have the bright stars above me every night, and I wake up to the surf of the ocean and can walk the beach at sun up. I feel very blessed . If you want to be content with what you have go to other countries and see how other people live . You will
learn that your house or your things are not who you are , and have little
importance

Yeah easy to say for someone who got a roof over their head and is sometimes wanting to have a nicer car sometimes. Anyway, One thing we people really need to learnt is to be satisfied with what we have. I guess that's the one true way of peace and happiness in one's life.

I have to say I would be completely dishonest if I would say yes. I am not contented with my life and I just felt that there`s a lot of maker overs and a lot of good changes I need to take to make a lot better. I got so problems right now and I felt that there is a lot of me that really needs to be fix.

I don't live my life by the items I want to have, rather by quality time I am able to spend with my family and myself...
The more money you have the more money you spend, people are never happy....

Honestly, I am not contented, though inspirational books taught us to be contented with what we have right now, I am still hoping my life will improved better because this is not the way I wanted to be. Right now I am trying to make an effort to achieve all my dreams could come true.
They said that destiny is not a matter of a chance but a matter of choice, but it seems circumstances prevented me from achieving all my dreams, everything if fruitless and destiny did not work in my side no matter how I tried to become nice and kind.

I don’t think I’m contented with what I already have because now I feel I’m struggling to survive here. I know I should not complain. Compared to many people in the world I would be considered to be a lucky one. However complaining is human nature. Now I try not shopping if it’s not very necessary. So I don’t feel too frustrating when I see the expensive clothes I can not afford. It really works.

Before I lost my job a few months ago, I was severely depressed because I was thinking that I cannot live without a job, without money. But it has been four months since I left my stressful job to take care of my mother who is sick with cancer and I can say that I am content with what I have right now.

I personally feel that there should be no contentment in our lives. Otherwise, we will never grow or move ahead in our lives. Being contented should be the lines of old people whereas young people should desire everything in life and strive to achieve them. This is not at all greed but a burning desire to achieve beyond mediocre life. Greed can make us bad. But if we desire to give others as much happiness and all the good things like love, compassion, care etc that we want in our own life, leading our lives can be worthy.
One more thing which is said to bring us all the good things in life is gratitude. If we are grateful for what we have now we are allowing more of the same things to come in our life in even more quantity and quality. Being grateful is not contentment but a mere acknowledgment of the good things in our life and thanking GOD for all of them.

i really think it must be a human trait not to ever be totally happy with all they have. to always want more. iam like that with different things and these days we just end up having to fight it as most of us never have the money to keep up with it now. i force myself to stay away from books and cd sections/store these days

Hey,
Well I don't really buy clothes or anything that often, I just have to wear and use what I have at the moment. I hardly ever go shopping either except for food, which is a need not a want. But I am relatively happy though. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

I think it's human nature to always want more.jealousy is part of being human.though it may be healthy in a certain way,too much of it is dangerous and can backfire.I think always wanting more is healthy in some ways, but too much of it is dangerous also.I'll be honest to say that I am not contented with what I have now,but I believe that someday I could get what I want.

It is just hard to be contended with whatever we have.By this way or that the mind gets tempted to new and attractive things. It is somewhat difficult to satisfy the mind.
For me it mostly happens with electronic gadgets like new models of mobile phones, music players, etc.I just feel the greed to own all of them. But I am never satisfied.I am also greedy for many other things. But most of the wishes are not possible to achieve. So I need to compromise with that. The mind will never get peace without contenment.

Yeah, I think I am. I mean, if I don't put myself in a mindset that says I am contented, I know I'll never be. By simply playing the odds, I know that I have a higher chance of eventually feeling contented if I believe I am contented right now.

CP? you mean cellphone right? oh dear friend dont use cut words here you need to type the whole word. text words are not accepted or i know its against mylot laws. hope this discussion wont get deleted. i am contented on what i have. i just need it for communications and always catching up with what is latest is a never ending story. i have 4 teen children and i am a single mom, that would very selfish of me if i change or upgrade my cellphone with the latest always. my children dont even have their own cellphones, so i am contented with it. lucky you if you are only single or lucky you that you can really catch up but that would be a never ending story. you will always end up upgrading your mobile unit.

Well, i'd like to have more money, but i'm pretty much content and i'd like to keep more of my money to spend on things i need, rent is pretty high where i live and i don't have much money to spend on anything elese. I see things in stores that i'd like to have but not neccesarily need, then again i see things in stores that i'd like to have that i really need but can't afford until next months pay check comes. I've been having to get payday loans every month for a couple of months, i have almost everything i need. The main thing i'd like to get now is an xbox 360 and nba live 2010, so i can have extra entertainment, because there's not much on television now a days and i'm sick of playing old games, but besides that, i'm pretty content with what i have.

Hi dear
Contentment is really a Blessing.
Well, to be honest, i will sau that in some aspect i am content, and dont Rush for New Models of Mobiles, cars, TV. Dont go for branded stuff but look for quality, comfort and durability.
but it doesnot mean that you stop struggling , keep on hard work.
Take care

I am content in some ways, but in other ways I am not. I am content with the way things are progressing in my life, but I am not content with where we are just yet. I feel that I still have a way to go before I get to the point where I will finally be content.

I don't think so. The word content will never be existing for people who is continuously in search for ways to improve themselves. Once we see something good, we would want to expand our ways and get the things we want.
So i guess for now, I am not yet contented since I have dreams and hopes that aren't met yet, it isn't complete so aiming to get it is the main goal.
Money, hmmm it is not always enough since we do have a lot of expenses and things we needed or want. But I will just take it step by step. It will still be reach, somehow, someday soon.Happy Mylotting.
