I'm an avid reader, as you can probably tell from my other posts these past few days here at MyLot. I was just wondering, how many books have you MyLotters read this past year so far? So far I've read 50 this year. Last year I read a total of 55, and my goal for this year was 60 (not that big of a jump on that goal, but I'm sure I'll soar above it!). I already have a bunch of books to read before August is over, and then a bunch lined up for September into August. I'm pretty sure I can at least hit the 70 mark this year.
So how many have you read so far this year?

Wow, you've certainly read a lot of books this year. Personally, I don't really pay attention to the number of books I've read this year. It doesn't really matter whether it's just 5 books or 35. I'll just read the number of books that I get a chance to read. The number doesn't matter to me.

I love to read, and I like to set a personal goal for myself each year. That way, I can kind of give myself a time frame that my giant to be read pile will be finished. It's a lost cause though, because I'm always getting new books, and the pile never seems to go down, if anything it goes up! I think if I can get 70 books this year, I will push myself to get 80 next year. I know some people that can read 150 a year, but I have to work a full time job and that would be impossible for me.
Thanks for responding!

I know I've read fifteen since the middle of June. I haven't set one for the year, as I didn't think of it until mid-June, and there's no way I could remember everything I read between new year and then!
I've set myself a goal of reading 200 books by next Christmas (Slighly under 18 months from now).
