Hi dear
well, i used to read romantic novels, i dont think they make u hot, but sure excited and sensation should be proper words. but if novel is more than just romantic novel, then it can make u hot as well.
But feeling, situation and words are more excited.
Take care

Hello my dear, how are you doing? Well now let me tell you the truth about me, I think it's going to take something more than just a few words being written down in a book to make me hot, hee hee hee. Now I don't know how a book can get to be any more than romantic??? You kind of got me lost on this one cupid. So well we'll figure it the next time. Take care and have a good night!

I've never actually liked romance novels. I like memoirs or fictional books that have an aspect of romance, but I've always felt a little..empty at the end of a romance novel. It just doesn't effect me the way it does other people, apparently. A lot of the romance novels I've read have just been..too cliche, almost too "cheesy" - that I'm more likely to end up LAUGHING in irony than enjoying it (or "getting hot under the collar", as you said). LOL. But maybe I just haven't read the right ones.
Do you have any good ones to suggest?

Fortunately the answer is no, and therefore I have never been in an embarrassing situation. Romance novels are generally fiction, something created out of the mind, or embellished incidents to make the scenario more attractive. I am rarely, if ever, affected by steamy descriptions.

Actually I can do the same, but I prefer to concentrate more on things like the plot, logic, sentence construction, and flow of story. There are stories which border on the unbelievable, stories which contain too many subplots, and stories which can be said as wishful thinking of the author. If the elements are linked well, the whole story becomes interesting, and I can lose track of time in reading the book.

I have always been VERY into my books. And really just words in general. I'm a wordnerd, lol. But ever since I was a little girl, if I'm reading about the jungle, I'm in the jungle, if I'm reading about being on a boat, I feel the sway of the ocean... it may sound a bit crazy, but I get very swept up in the story, no matter what it is, so when its a well written story of that nature, I can absolutely get lost in that just the same way...

I LOVE romance novels. Its not about getting "hot". Its the story of love. The road to true love is never easy. and even after you find love, you have to work to keep it. I think this is the true purpose of romance novels. To find love takes work. To keep love takes even more. While the story lines often do get "cheesy" and Cliche", its about the journey of the heart.

Some do, depending on how well its written and how into the book i am. Others are just rather cheesy and make me giggle 0.o Really just depends on the book, though i do have to say...some give you really good ideas for the real thing
