What do you during national holidays?

Hi Jaymar...we have a lot of national holidays in the USA, and I often celebrate them in the old traditions, but also start some new traditions, as well. My favorites are Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. The last two always involve large family gatherings, a lot of gratitude, good food, laughter, and conversation. Karen

On regular holidays I have to work, but on the special holidays such as Thanksgiving, Easter, Christmas, etc, I have off of work which is great, so I get to spend it with my family! Almost every special holiday my family gets together for a meal and a get together, the same with my husband's family. So the holidays are normally pretty busy for us, going from one house to another, visiting and spending time with family.

A national holiday in the United States it the fourth of July, independence day. I celebrate it by going with friends down to the pier to watch the fire works

I don't really celebrate national holidays. I mostly celebrate holidays related to my religion and caste. I get off on national holidays. So, I sit at home and sleep a lot, take rest. All the channels celebrate the holidays and there will be special programs and good movies on channels which I will watch.

Sadly, I had to spend it working in the office since it is not a legal holiday but only a special non-working holiday. But during non-working legal holidays, I mostly spend them at home relaxing and doing things that I normally am not able to do when i have work. Or if I want to do something more fun, I go out of the house, meet up with friends or my boyfriend and do lots of activities together.
