My primary browser is Firefox. So I do most of my surfing there. As it has an inbuilt spell checker, that is all I ever use.Apart from that if I am doing a lot of writing, I normally have a habit of saving my work in MS word on my machine and then copy paste it in the required place online. So MS word is where my remaining spellings are checked.

Hi elmiko,
I always use my spelling checker since I am not very good in English. It is good to have this ind of help. Like here, we are involve in discussion. It is important to spell it right, otherwise someone might can't understand what we are trying to say.

I have a small freeware dictionary which I use to check for the spellings of mis-spelled worlds. It gives some suggestions from which I can get the correct spelling for a particular word.

Not really no. We have spell check, and I occasionally use that. Gone are the days of pulling out the dictionary. My mother used to tell us to look it up. I don't think I will be saying that to my children often.

I always use Merriam Webster dictionary. I believe that it is very reliable. I also use oxford but for checking if a certain noun is countable or uncountable. For the purpose of spell checking, I recommend and use Merriam.

Sometimes when I am looking for something and am not sure of the spelling, I'll type how I think it's speeled into a search engine, and see what I come up with. Sometimes I get the actual spelling, and other times I've spelled it wrong, but it's close enough, and I eventually find a site with the right spelling.
