My laptop's Lenovo. A few weeks ago I use Acer. My issued laptop was just replaced by my company a few weeks ago.

Very lucky, as Lenovo is quite light when compared with the Acer lap top. Thanks for responding.

Yes, it's somewhat lighter. My company's issues Lenovo again as our System Administrators see that it is more durable than Acer products.

I have not heard about the name Everex. This is not available in India. When I bought my Acer Lap top, the 12 inch screen has not made its debut in India, otherwise I would have also gone in for a 12inch or a 10 inch. Can you tell me what is the price you paid for it, back in USA. So that I can compare it with the price here. Thanks for responding.

Andys Inc. Custom computer factory. Sorry, I just mean that I build my own computers. I can generally find better quality stuff, for lower prices than brand name computers. However I do have a really nice IMac Mini from Apple. It's a real nice little thing. Doesn't take up much space. No sound. Plays movies music and never crashes, or has viruses or spyware. But for video games and such, my home built AMD 2.7 Ghz does a fine job.

Thanks for the response andy77e. Last year, when I purchased my acer lap top, I did not know much about laptops, otherwise, I would have also gone in for a IMac from Apple. Of course IMac's are quite expensive in India, and it costs $400 more than the Acer lap top, which I purchased.

I understand completely. Apples are more expensive. I still wouldn't trade it for any other though. Just the fewer headaches and less time wasted with viruses spyware and general crash problems alone makes it very much worth the money. But you have to buy what you can afford, and I understand that.

My Computer is ProView and my Laptop is Dell. Any special reason for the question or is it that you just wanna know?
• India
23 Aug 09
Nothing special, just wanted to know what the rest of the world was using. Now I know the world is really small, because only a handful of people seem to make computers. The only new names I have found is one you have mentioned ProView, as far as lap tops are concerned, the same names appear again and again. Thanks for the response.

Hi ramesh, I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop and I've replaced my desktop recently as it occupies more space and it was not comfortable. Now I feel my laptop is comfortable and handy and I love it having it anywhere I like. It's also good to get with it when I am travelling too. Cheers.. Have a nice day.. ..

Even though I have gone in for a lap top a year ago, I am still comfortable with my desk top and most of the browsing and typing is done in my desk top and I use my lap top, only when I am on tours. Thanks for responding.

IBM Thinkpad T43 which hooked up to my 19' Samsung LCD Screen and other gadgets. Even though it is getting a bit older, It performs all tasks I need every day with no problems. As it is a wee bit old, I use my Playstation 3 for my gaming needs. Although Lenovo has now ruined IBM's Thinkpads, i still suggest them over other companies' products.

Yes compaq Presario is always a good bet. What ever said and done, Intel Pentium4 is always good, as you have rightly mentioned there is no need for servicing. Thanks for the response.
