We Are Not Getting Young, Save Money For The Future!!

piggy bank - save for our future
Philippines
August 21, 2009 5:35am CST
We are all aware that every year, our age adds up. From time to time, we get to have some problems physically. What I am saying is some of us got already some problems with hearing, just an example. As early as today, we should save some amount, so that when we get old, we have some amount to use to buy our basic needs and to support ourself. i am already 24 now, and I am already experiencing some physical problems,so what I did is save my online earnings and just use my offline earnings. What about you, do you also save or you were not able to do so because you are supporting your family. Share your point of view. Happy mylotting!!

Since I was studying, I save my money to my savings account. I openned a savings account when I was in 3rd year college and until now it was still active. I transfered my salary money to my savings account so that when the quarterly interest arrives, it adds up to my savings. The bigger the savings, the bigger the interest. Now, I'm planning to open a time deposit account so that I cant used that money and it will be save for future purposes. I also save my online earning at my online bank. and I hope in the future I can used it.

Well, you can save! save a dollar or two everyday and put it in your piggy bank ... that way you can weigh if your piggy bank is heavy and by then you can deposit it in your savings account...

I agree that saving money is the best thing to do. Unfortunately when I was younger, I was NOT smart about money and did not save any for my old age. So now I am older and have no money and have health trouble. But now that I am older, I really am wiser though when it comes to money, it's a little too late to save any now!

Do not have any regrets, that is okay. When we are still a kid and young, we always want to enjoy and that is part of being a teenager.Do not think that it is already late.I know you can still do it. You can save all your online earnings. Me, I am just starting to save now,I never think that it will be late. I know we can still do it. By working hard in the site, I believe we will have a good earnings in the site, and earnings that we are getting here, we can save it for our future.happy mylotting!

Yes by all means the young and any age that can needs to start saving for the future. I am 45 and on my second marriage. I have two adult children and several grandkids. My husband got laid off this past winter and hasn't been called back out to work. The area we live, the employment rate is very low. Not much jobs out there. We had a savings that we ended up using to live on. I only wished that we had started it earlier in life.

Sad to hear that from you. what you can do now is to be more wise now. i can see your eagerness to earn in this site. I believe that hard work will give you good earnings. just continue doing it,even it is just a small amount, it still helps you to add up to your earnings in the family. I wish and pray that your husband can already get his job so that earnings will be added in your family household income.have a great day. happy mylotting!

Do not blame yourself for not saving in an early age. All we can do is to learn from our mistakes. And when we are still young, we all have the right to enjoy ourself, and one thing to do for us to enjoy is to buy the things that will make us happy. Now, that we are getting older, we should be wise now. We should act like an ant, they always prepare for rainy days. For people like us, we should always prepare for emergency cases. i hope this will help you somehow. happy mylotting!!

thanks for reminding me. I used to listen to a music since i love doing it,I always have earphones. I will try to lessen doing it since it does not give a good effect me. It is good to hear that you will be investing your money in some businesses. Just a little reminder, try to study first the business before going through. Make it sure that the business will give you some good earnings. have some survey first. Try to see as well the location. I wish you all the luck, I hope you will be successful with it. happy myloting!!

I am glad that you appreciate the advice that I have given. With this kind of life situation, it is very important we have to make it sure of the business that we are going to invest to. We do not have guarantee if it will really good earnings. Try to plan everything. Make it sure that it can help you in your daily needs. think of ways on how you can save to the said investment. make use of your family members as the employees of your business for the meantime, once it grow, that will be the time for you to hire other people. I hope this helps you. happy mylotting!

I am so glad u mentioned this. I worked for almost 25 years, and most of the time, people didnt bother right upto 40 or so to start saving for their retirement. Everytime I suggested that they set aside something for their future, they laughed saying when will we enjoy. While it is good to be optimistic about future, I think it is foolhardy to expect nothing to go wrong. And there were moments when they envied me for my nest egg. It was extreme discipline in the first ten years or so of my service that allowed me to retire early. I am now in good health, touch wood, and in a position to enjoy my life without worrying for tommorow. And I can still continue to earn some amounts off and on through net. Unlike me most of them are banking on their children to look after them. Isn't that a burden on their own children, who may well be just starting their careers? If in past it has been such, then in future should it not be better? R they not treating their children as some return fetching investment, rather than treating them as children? These are some of my thoughts on this issue.

Wow!!Very well said!It is good to hear from you that you were able to save money before you retire. You have a great and wise decision, I hope I can be as successful as you. As of this moment, I am trying my best to save all my online earnings and just spend my offline earnings. It is good to see that event though that you are already retired, you still get the chance of logging in here. This will help you to relax yourself and of course generates income to you. It's a good thing that you don't bank with your children, they also need to save for in the future they will also get married and have their own family. My mom banks in me, but that's fine with me since i am still single right now and I believe my mom really needs me.thanks for sharing. happy mylotting!![em]thumbup

I don't like to save I want to have a money on my Paypal and invest on legitimate site. Even on my regular earnings, I will save little and invest on some business. I want to grow my money, I want to be wealthy. If i will save my money , it will lost its value after 5 years. If I have 100,000 peso today after 5 years my money will just be equal to 20,000 peso. I rather invest it and wait for return of investment.

It is good that you are brave enough in using your money in different investments. With me, I am afraid to try it. I'd rather save it, it feels that the money is already secured. When you invest, there is no assurance if you will really earn from it. If in case I will invest, I prepare investing in an offline business, i will not invest online. There are lots of sites in the internet that turned into a scam. So i am afraid to be one of their victims. i'm sorry if we have different point of view. But anyway, you can go with your point of view if you find it beneficial to you, why not?keep up the good work and happy mylotting!!

hello rberon1985, Saving money is the best thing that we can do right from our first salary to the present. It's not only for ourself but for the whole family as well. Indeed you are right that we are getting old each year and the older we are we are experiencing some problems physically - hearing, seeing and the likes. Good if we are not taking some maintenance for that is really hard and expensive. What I'm getting from my on-line earnings is an additional savings too. I'm putting direct on my account. Good thing we have this extra income, can help in one way or the other.

We should be glad that we are a member of this legitimate site. This site can add up to our earnings. I am hoping that we continue to have good earnings. Earnings online is such as a good help. If we are going to depend our earnings in offline, it will not be sufficient for all our basic needs, especially that we are experiencing the recession period. I know it is not yet late for me to save. i want that when I get old, I have something in my pocket so that when I get old, I have something during emergency situations.

It is good to hear that from you that at early age, you were able to save for yourself, yes it is true that when we are young, we are easily tempted to buy our luxuries, when we get old and became mature, we tend to think on how to save the money. I hope I can have also a savings account just like you. But i know it will still take time.My family needs me, I still have to support them. maybe it will still take years before I can save for myself.thanks for sharing, happy mylotting!!

It is indeed a good plan to save some resources for your future. Nowadays, financial crisis is observed and each individual from all walks of life are being affected. As long as we're young, we need to have a grip and manage what we have in the present, learn from all of our mistakes in the past regarding losses and untimely use of money so that we are prepared for any financial emergencies in the future.

Very well said. We all know that in our country, poverty is really observed because of a lot of people in the government who are corrupt. If they will continue doing this, no wonder Philippines will be the number most number of poor people. I think the people should act on this situation. People power should be held for the benefit of everybody. As of this moment, I am only spending my offline earnings, I am trying my best not to make use of my online earnings, this is the only investment that I can have. happy mylotting!

Yes,you are absolutely right!saving money should be treated as a serious matter and we act from now.I am also 24 now, born in the year of the Ox!And for the old Chinese tradition,I am now running to the soncond cycle of my life(in China, every 12 years is named by 12 different terrestrial branches). So I got to be as tough as the Ox and working hard to earn & save money for the future. You know earn money is hard, while saving is even harder,I got to save for affording the Down payment for my new apartment and get to start my own small business in the near future.Good luck!

It is nice to hear that you were able to own an apartment as early as that age. That is actually one of my dreams. I cannot afford to rent in an apartment since it is expensive here in our place. I can only rent in the what we so called "boarding house".The payment is quite cheap. On the other hand, I have tried to have my own business when I was in college. the business lasted for four years but I have already stopped it because I am already far with my customers. I have decided to focus in earning money online and the same time with my offline job. I hope all of us will be successful. happy mylotting!!

HI...It's very good of you for thinking of your future and saving for it while you are still young. In contrast, I was more of a spender than a saver when I was of your age. Even up to now I am still an impulse buyer, buying what I don't really need. But you are correct we should save for the future or for an unforeseen events in our life like sickness and accidents where money is needed. So, I am now saving some amount for any eventuality.

It is nice to spend if we really have the money to spend. Since I was a kid, i have been indulged in different activities and programs where I can earn money. I've grown in this kind of environment. I am now 24 years old and still i am in this field. It only means to say that I am enjoying this kind of job. Last year I have save 200 dollars, I am planning to doubled it up these year.happy mylotting!!

that is very true, while still young work and work and earn much for the future, we cannot judge the future we can have children but they will have their own families in the future. and also children are not the same even we have children they might not take care of us so we can save for our sake. We can save through insurance, bank.If you have savings you will not worry if you get old and sick because you know you have savings.

We should expect any help from our children.W do not have the guarantee if they will really help us. All of them will have their own family. So it is really important that we are going to save for ourself.I am trying to start now and I hope I will not be tempted to spend the money to buy something that is not so important. happy mylotting!!

Good for you to think of this at a young age. My problem is everytime i SAVE a little bit i have to use it for something. First of all you have to be making enough to have the EXTRA MONEY to SAVE. Even if it just $10. a wk. or $50. a month. I think those are very weird sounding words. EXTRA MONEY, SAVINGS, SPENDING.
• Indonesia
22 Aug 09
Hi jdyrj777 That's my problem too,,hehe.. but, how about we insert "invest" in the middle of "extra money" and "savings" ? So it will be EXTRA MONEY, INVEST, SAVING, SPENDING? That sounds better, right? hehe.. Good luck with your extra money

Yes!We have to save something for our future. It is nice you have this attitude at an early age. There are lot of ways to save money and the best I know and use is insurance and the other is investing in lands.I am not earning much online and so I can't save it for the future. It doesn't meet even my internet bills.Cheers!

I don't have much earnings as well in the internet but if we are going to combine them all,it is worth it!Last year, i was able to gain more than 200 dollars and it is already a big amount for me. Hi and smile. Honestly, saving is the most hardest part when you already been used to spending so much money to your food, clothing, make up and lots more. I am always thinking of saving way back college time, but i am always tempted to buy new clothes every week. I started saving seriously at age 26. Now that i am 28 going 29 this september, i just started my garment business and its working good. I do love to make it stable business of mine. I just didnt quit my job yet because i want to have earnings separate from my business. Its a good starting point. Its never too late. Just save and plan for your future. Happy mylotting and smile always!

Its good to hear that you can save half of your salary. with me,i can't save half of my salary because I have to support my family and I have to buy some of my basic needs and pay my bills as well. Every pay day, I try to fairly divide my salary in everything that i need. On the other hand, you have speak of marriage, I don't think so that we have to spend much in marriage, a simple wedding may do. being resourceful should be applied during wedding. We should be wise in everything that we do. thanks for sharing. happy mylotting!!
